Getting To The Hospital

  • By Road View
    • Dewsbury and District Hospital is situated to the west of the Mid Yorkshire area and serves the population of the North Kirklees area. The postcode for sat-nav is WF13 4HS.
    • Pay and display car parking is available. The pay and display machines take all coins from 5p upwards but do not give change. Please remember to bring change with you. The hospital cannot guarantee parking spaces at all times. If a friend or relative is bringing you to hospital by car and you are unable to walk from the car park you may be dropped off and picked up outside the main entrance. There are also designated parking spaces for disabled permit holders.
  • By Bus View
    • There is an onsite bus stop which is located close to the main entrance. You can use Metro's online journey planner to start to plan your journey by bus. The hospital offers a new, free bus service carrying visitors between Dewsbury, Pontefract and Wakefield hospitals. Service 113 takes patients and visitors between the three hospitals, seven days a week. MetroLine on 0113 245 7676. Metroline is open from 7am to 10pm daily (except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day).
