Ride/Attraction Summary

  • Summary View
    • Alton Towers Dungeon is located in The Towers area.

    • Guests with a red ride access pass are required to ride with a carer over the age of 14 years.
    • The minimum age restriction is 10 years of age.
    • Guests can transfer from their own wheelchair into the ride vehicle. Guests can be supported to do this, but not carried.
    • This ride includes flashing lights, smoke/mist/fog effects, loud noises, dark spaces and shock/surprise features and as a result may not be suitable for all guests.
    • Wheelchair users must be able to transfer on to the ride – with assistance or can bypass the boat ride.
      Wheelchair users can enjoy the full attraction including the boat ride if they are able to transfer into a boat with assistance. The guest’s wheelchair will re-join them during their departure from the boat. Guests who are not able to transfer will be able to by-pass the boat ride via a separate passage and re-join their group. Due to safety reasons, there must only be one wheelchair user per group.
    • At any point during the tour, guests can alert a member of staff if they or a member of their party needs to leave, and they will be able to escort them out of or away from the attraction.
      This attraction is a 45 minute walking experience and guests are required to stand for most of it.
      Seating is available in some shows, but due to the nature of the attraction, priority seating cannot be guaranteed.

Queuing System (Dungeon Plaza to Main Entrance)

      The length of the queuing system is approximately 15 metres.
      Queuing numbers will be limited as guests have to have tickets and are allocated fixed time slots.
