Introduction

South and North Lakes - Jetties and Pontoons
- The lakes were designed as features in the large Belfast City Park.
- North Lake is accessible by boat from South Lake depending on the water height.

- The ramp has handrails on both sides and is 150cm wide.
- Photographs 4 and 5 show the standard jetty and pontoons at the rear of South Lake Leisure Centre.
- The gates are opened by staff during the season.
- Photograph 6 shows the tactile paving at the lakes edge.
- During the opening season there are various activities available including kayaking, open water swimming, an inflatable obstacle course, banana boat ride, wakeboarding and water skiing.
- The lakes are home to rainbow trout pike, perch, roach, bream and otters.
Wheely Boat and Canoe
- The ramp to access the boat has a slight gradient and no handrails.

- The boat will comfortably take two wheelchair users with carers and staff members.

- Photograph 6 shows the accessible canoe which has one stick control and is uncapsizable.

Accessible Cycles
- The accessible cycles are brought from the store to the outdoor concourse.

- A bowl of water can be provided for an assistance dog.
