Introduction
- The following information describes the route from Hornsey Street Coach Parking to the Emirates Stadium.
- The drop-off point is located on Hornsey Street.
- The approximate distance of this route is 320 metres.
- The majority of the path surfaces along this route consist of paving slabs.
- The potential hazards along this route include; busy roads, crossing points, uneven surfaces and congested pathways.
Hornsey Street Coach Parking
- Coach parking on Hornsey Street is only available on matchdays.
- Visiting supporters must contact the club to book a coach parking space.
- All access routes to the Hornsey Street coach parking site will be closed by the Metropolitan Police Service 2 hours before the start of a match.
- Coaches arriving after this time will not be permitted into the area and will not be allocated a parking space.
Hornsey Street Coach Parking to Holloway Road Crossing
- After exiting the coach turn right onto Hornsey Street.
- There is step-free access along the path.
- The path surface consists of paving slabs.
- Follow pathway and cross a service road to a building site.
- There is no tactile paving at this service road.
- The service road surface is tarmac and very uneven in places.
- Proceed onwards underneath the building site scaffolding.
- The walkway narrows to 110cm in places.
- At the end of the walkway is a temporary ramp leading down to the side of the road.
- The temporary tarmac ramp is steep.
- From here turn left back onto the path.
- There is a dropped kerb with tactile paving.
- Bear left and continue along pathway until you reach Holloway Road crossing point.
Holloway Road Crossing
- There are three pedestrian crossing points across the Holloway Road.
- The road has a tarmac surface.
- There are dropped kerbs and tactile paving at all crossing points.
- Each crossing point is controlled by a visual indicator.
- The visual indicators are activated by push buttons.
- There are rotating cones at the base of the push button boxes to indicate when it is safe to cross.
- At the first crossing point traffic will be coming from your right.
- When reaching the centre reservation, turn right and walk approximately 9 metres to next crossing point.
- At the second crossing point traffic will now be approaching from your left.
- After completing the crossing, bear slightly left to next crossing point.
- At the third crossing point traffic will be approaching from your left.
- Once across you have reached the east side of Holloway Road.
Holloway Road Crossing to Hornsey Road Crossing
- From the Holloway Road crossing proceed on the pathway down Hornsey Road.
- This part of the route is step-free and is approximately 170 metres long.
- The surface of the pathway is paving slabs.
- After approximately 85 metres you will cross a driveway.
- There are dropped kerbs either side of the driveway.
- The dropped kerbs do not have tactile paving.
- The dropped kerbs consist of block paving.
- The driveway has a tarmac surface.
- Continue along the pathway until you reach a crossing point.
Hornsey Road Crossing
- This crossing point is a zebra crossing so there are no visual or audible indicators.
- At this crossing, traffic will be coming from both sides.
- There are dropped kerbs with tactile paving on both sides of the road.
Hornsey Road Crossing to Benwell Road Crossing
- On crossing Hornsey Road, turn left and follow the pathway round to the right.
- The surface of the pathway is paving slabs.
- After approximately 24 metres, Benwell Road crossing will be on your left.
Benwell Road Crossing to the Outer Concourse
- Benwell Road crossing has two crossing points.
- There are dropped kerbs with tactile paving at each crossing point.
- This crossing point is a zebra crossing so there are no visual or audible indicators.
- On crossing the first section, traffic will be coming from your right.
- At the second section, traffic will be coming from your left.
- On completing the crossing, continue straight ahead towards the outer concourse.
- Once through the bollards you have reached the outer concourse of the Emirates Stadium.
- The bollards have a minimum width of 110cm.
