Travel and Transport

  • By Road View
    • The M6 and A38 Motorways interchange at Junction 6 (M6), where you should exit and follow the signs for the Villa Park. Villa park can be accessed by Trinity Road or Witton Lane.
  • By Train View
    • Villa Park is supported by two train stations, Aston Station and Witton Station. Both stations run regular services to and from Birmingham New Street. Witton Station is approximately 0.3 miles away. Aston Station is approximately 0.7 miles away. For further information please call National Rail on 08457 484 950 or visit the National Rail website.
  • By Bus View
    • The main two bus routes servicing Villa Park are the no 7 and no 11. In addition, services 65 and 67 also operate within walking distance of Villa Park. For full timetable information, please call 0871 200 2233 or visit www.networkwestmidlands.com. We recommend you to check the timetables ahead of the matches for updated information. Stadium Tour Information

  • Stadium Tours take place on various days throughout the week. Stadium Tours do not take place on match days including the afternoon before an evening kick off or the morning after.
  • On Monday to Saturday there are 3 tours, which start at 10.30, 13.00 and 15.00.
  • On Sunday there are two tours, which start at 10.30 which includes lunch and at 14:00 which is the stadium tour only.
  • Booking is available on the day, however it is strongly advised to book in advance.
  • There are wheelchairs available to borrow and they are located next to the Trinity Road reception desk.
  • There are 3 accessible toilets located on the Trinity Road first floor and in the North Stand reception area on the ground floor.
  • There are standard toilets located throughout the tour route, the majority of toilets are locked on non match days but the tour guide will tell you which standard toilets can be used.
  • The tour guide can provide assistance with all entrance doors along the tour route.
  • A transcript of the basis of the tour can be made available in large print upon request.
  • All of the stadium tour guides have received disability awareness training.

Stadium Tour Parking

  • Stadium tour car parking is located in the Villa Village car park and is accessed via Witton Lane.
  • There are 39 Blue Badge parking bays located throughout the car park and visitors are advised to use the Blue Badge bays located behind the players and directors car park.
  • The dimensions of the designated Blue Badge bays vary between 370cm x 550cm, 350cm x 500cm and 270cm x 640cm.
  • There is a drop off point located outside the Trinity Road reception entrance.

Stadium Tour Meeting Point - Players Lounge

  • The meeting point for the stadium tour is located on the North corner of the Trinity Road Stand outside the Players Lounge entrance.
  • Access to the Players Lounge is via a single width manual door, with an opening of 80cm.
  • There are 15+ medium height steps leading up to the Players Lounge.
  • These steps are overcome by using the staff entrance on the Trinity Road Stand and then the service lift.
  • There is an easy slope leading from the Players Lounge entrance to the staff entrance.
  • The staff entrance is a double width manual door, with an opening of 130cm.

Lift (Service Lift - Players Lounge)

  • There is a lift for public use.
  • The lift is located just beyond the staff entrance.
  • The lift is a standard lift.
  • The lift is approximately 6m (6yd 1ft) from the staff entrance.
  • Staff do need to be notified for use of the lift.
  • The dimensions of the lift are 116cm x 220cm (3ft 10in x 7ft 3in).
  • The clear door width is 90cm (2ft 11in).
  • There are not separate entry and exit doors in the lift.
  • There is not a mirror to aid reversing out of the lift.
  • The lift does have a visual floor indicator.
  • The lift does have an audible announcer.
  • The controls for the lift are within 90cm - 120cm from the floor.

Players Lounge - Press Conference Room

  • The tour begins in the Players Lounge with an introduction from the stadium tour guide, the tour then proceeds to the Press Conference Room.
  • There is step free access between the rooms and the floor surface is carpet.
  • In the Press Conference Room the tour guide gives information about the press conferences and stories about previous managers.
  • At the end of the talk there is a photo opportunity in the managers chair. Access to the podium is via 1 clearly marked medium height step.

Press Conference Room - McGregor Statue - Trinity Stand Reception

  • From the Press Conference Room the tour moves outside and to the McGregor Statue.
  • Access to the McGregor Statue from the Press Conference Room is either by the Players Lounge, Players Lounge stairs and then the Players Lounge entrance or by using the service lift and the staff entrance.
  • There are easy slopes when outside which overcome 2 - 5 medium height steps, which have handrails on both sides.
  • After the slopes the tour moves to the McGregor Statue where the tour guide gives information about the former chairman William McGregor.
  • The tour then moves into the Trinity Road Reception.
  • There are manual double doors with an opening of 160cm leading into the Trinity Road reception.
  • The Trinity Road reception counter is medium height with a lowered section and a fixed hearing loop.
  • There are wheelchairs available to borrow in this area.
  • In the Trinity Road reception the tour guide shows the 1000 fans portrait and explains the background and history of the Trinity Road Stand.
  • The tour then moves onto the first floor via the Trinity Road reception lift.

Lift (Trinity Stand Reception - Trinity Stand First Floor)

  • The lift is located ahead as you pass the Trinity Road reception.
  • The lift is 6m (6yd 1ft) from the Trinity Road reception entrance.
  • There is a clear accessible route to the lift from the entrance.
  • There is step free access to the lift from the entrance.
  • The floors which are accessible by this lift are G-1-2.

  • The tour then moves from the hospitality areas to the premium seating areas.
  • Access to the premium seating areas is via a manual double width door with an opening of 160cm.

  • Once outside visitors get a birds eye view of the stadium and the tour guide provides more information about the club and the ground.

Changing Rooms - Players Tunnel - Pitchside

  • From the changing rooms the tour moves down to the players tunnel.
  • Access to the players tunnel is via 8 clearly marked medium height steps, the steps can be overcome by using a platform lift.
  • The surface along the players tunnel is carpet.
  • Along the players tunnel the tour passes the managers room and the post match interview room, where there is a photo opportunity next to the European Champions Cup Trophy, Football League Trophy and the FA Cup Trophy.
  • There is no background music played in the players tunnel however the pre-match fanfare is played whilst visitors walk out onto the pitch.
  • There is an easy slope leading from the players tunnel to the pitch.

Lift (Changing Rooms - Players Tunnel)

  • There are 2 clerarly marked, medium height steps leading down from the pitch to the seats.
  • At the dugout the tour guide will talk about the stadium.
  • From pitch side the tour moves onto the North Stand.
  • There is a steep slope leading from the North Stand Lower Tier to the North Stand internal areas. The surface of the path and slope on the North Stand is tarmac and concrete.
  • This steep slope can be overcome by exiting the changing rooms via the players and officials entrance and re-entering via the North Stand main reception entrance.
  • There is an easy slope leading up to the North Stand main reception entrance.
  • The entrance has two sets of manual double width doors with an opening width of 160cm.
  • There is an accessible toilet located at the rear of the North Stand main reception.

  • Access from the North Stand ground floor to the North Stand first floor is via 15+ medium height steps. This can be overcome by using the main reception lift and using the staff corridor.
  • Once at the rear of the corridor the tour reaches the Heritage Zone. The surface of the corridor is carpet.
  • There is an easy ramp on this corridor which overcomes 2 clearly marked medium height steps.
  • The Heritage Zone includes a model of the original Villa Park, memorabilia and photographs in cabinets and on the wall.
  • The tour finishes in the Heritage Zone.
  • Once the tour has finished visitors can go to the Villa Village Shop to purchase merchandise and collect their photos.
  • Access to the Villa Village Shop is via the main reception lift and entrance, across the North Stand and Villa Village car parks. The car park surface is tarmac and there easy and moderate slopes along the car park.
  • The entrance to the Villa Village Shop is by two sets of manual double doors with an opening width of 160cm.
  • There are security barriers just beyond the second set of doors which the width between is 140cm.
  • The surface of floor in the shop is carpet.

Lift (Main Reception)
