About this venue

The Broadway Theatre is home to the School for the Performing Arts & Technical Theatre, The Broadway is a 360 seat working theatre with the latest sound and lighting as well as rehearsal rooms, a recording studio and a music technology room equipped to professional standards.

Getting Here

  • By Road View
    • The theatre is located in the centre of Barking about half a mile to the east of the North Circular road. When heading anticlockwise on the north circular (A406), take the A124 exit to Barking. At the roundabout, take the second exit. At the next roundabout, take the third exit towards town centre. At the traffic lights, head straight over and on to Abbey Road and follow the road for a couple of hundred meters. At the roundabout take the first exit on to Broadway and after about 100 meters, the theatre is on your right.
    • Parking in central Barking is limited so the college recommend using public transport to access the facilities. However there is limited free parking in supermarket car parks and pay parking at the London Road multi-storey car park. There are also Blue Badge Bays located on Clockhouse Avenue
  • By Bus View
    • The nearest bus stop is the Broadway Theatre (Stop S) stop on Broadway. This stop is within 150m of the theatre. The stop is serviced by the 62, 287, 368 and 687 buses.
  • By Train View
    • Barking Station is approximately 0.3 miles from the theatre. Barking is regularly serviced by C2C trains, which run between London Fenchurch Street (some London Liverpool Street and Stratford services at weekends) and Shoeburyness (Southend). Overground trains run frequently between Barking and Gospel Oak.
  • By Underground View
    • Barking’s underground station is in zone 4, and sits on the District and Hammersmith & City lines.

Parking
