About this venue

This famous local landmark dates from 1933 and is a popular venue for weddings. It has a café and the landscaped fountain areas outside make a great place to meet and relax. The town hall is also home to Experience Barnsley museum and the Barnsley archives, where you can find out more about its past.

  • The public gallery is located on the second floor and is approximately 25m from the rear corridor lift.
  • There are 3 clearly marked 20cm steps without handrails to reach all of the flip down seating.
  • There is not sufficient space for a wheelchair to turn.
