Getting Help and Assistance (North Cambridgeshire Hospital)

  • A member of staff trained in BSL skills is not normally on duty.
  • British Sign Language interpreters can be provided on request.

  • The alternative formats documents can be provided in include; Braille on request, large print on request, Makaton on request and different languages on request.
  • Water bowls for assistance dogs are not available.
  • Wheelchairs are available to borrow, these are located close-by in the Main Entrance.

  • The development of North Cambs Hospital continues, so you will notice changes on site until Christmas 2023.
    During this time, you may find your usual entrance door closed and some surfaces uneven. We are doing as much as we can to highlight changes and mark relevant areas but please take care when moving around outside the hospital.
    We also suggest that you leave extra time to get to appointments if possible. Parking at the front of the hospital is accessible bays only. Emergency vehicles and patient drop off is still available at the front of the hospital.
    On arrival, if you need wheelchair assistance please call our porters on 07580 809202 who will be able to assist you. Thank you for your continued patience and support and we apologise for any inconvenience the ongoing works may cause.
