Introduction
- The following information describes the route from Fulham Road Bus Stop U (Chelsea Village) to Stamford Bridge.
- The approximate distance of this route is 50m.
- The route takes approximately 1 minute.
- The route leads along Fulham Road and into the ground via Britannia Gate.
- The majority of paths along the route consist of flagstone paving or block paving.
- The potential hazards on this route include; congested pathways.
Traffic Exclusion Zone
- On matchdays Fulham Road can be closed to traffic up to two and half hours before kick-off until two and half hours after the final whistle (the length of closure depends on the fixture).
Bus Stop U (Chelsea Village)
- Bus Stop U (Chelsea Football Club) is located on Fulham Road.
- There is step-free access to the bus stop.
- The bus stop is not sheltered.
- There is no seating at the bus stop.
- There is no digital display at this bus stop.
- There is no audio announcer at this bus stop.
- The bus routes that use the bus stop include; 14, 211 and 414.
Bus Stop U to the Outer Concourse (via Britannia Gate)
- When exiting the bus turn right and follow Fulham Road for approximately 10m until you reach Britannia Gate on the left hand side.
- There is step-free access throughout this part of the route.
- The surface of the path on this part of the route is flagstone paving.
- Go through the bollards and follow the block paving walkway for approximately 35m until you reach the outer concourse.
- The gap between the bollards is 140cm and there is a slight downhill slope.
- There is step-free access onto the outer concourse.
Outer Concourse
- The outer concourse has either a tarmac or a block paving surface. All stands are accessible via the outer concourse.
There are some slight slopes located along the concourse. - On matchdays there are independent food stalls and mobile counters selling matchday programmes located around the concourse.
On the Shed End Wall there are photographs and information about Chelsea legends. - All entrances into the stadium have step-free access but there are some very easy slopes along the outer concourse.
There is a steep slope leading up to the East Stand Lower and Upper turnstiles. - Clear directional signage is provided on the concourse.
- There is a stadium plan/map on the concourse.
- There is a steward/member of staff available for assistance on match days.
