Introduction
- The following information describes the route from Norwood Junction Station to Selhurst Park.
- The route leads along Station Road, Selhurst Road, Park Road and Holmesdale Road.
- The approximate distance of this route is 700m.
- The route takes approximately 9-10 minutes.
- The majority of paths along the route consist of block paving and tarmac.
- The potential hazards on this route include; congested pathways, steep slopes and uneven surfaces.
Norwood Junction Station
- There is step-free access to the station exit leading from Platform 1 and the ticket office only.
- Toilet facilities are available at this station.
- There is step-free access when exiting the station.
- Car parking facilities are available at the station.

Norwood Junction Station to Selhurst Road
- Upon exiting the station, continue ahead along Station Road for approximately 150m towards Selhurst Road.
- The path along this section of the route consists of block and brick paving.
- There is a slight slope towards the road along the entirety of the path.
- The path has a slight uphill gradient along its entirety and is mostly even.
- Approximately 5m after leaving the station, there is a road crossing over Station Road.
- There is tactile paving and dropped kerbs on both sides of the crossing.
- There is a very slight gradient between the path and the road on both sides of the crossing.
- The road has a very slight uphill gradient and is even.
- There are no visual or audible signals available at this crossing.
- Approximately 30m after crossing, there is a second similar road crossing over Cargreen Road.
- Having crossed over Cargreen Road, continue along Station Road for 90m until you reach Selhurst Road.
- The path narrows towards the end of the path due to shop display units.
Selhurst Road to Lawrence Road Crossing
- Upon reaching Selhurst Road, turn left and continue ahead for approximately 130m towards the Lawrence Road crossing.
- The path along this section of the route consists mostly of tarmac with sections of block and brick paving initially.
- There is a slight slope towards the road along the entirety of the path.
- There is an initial slight downhill gradient followed by a slight uphill gradient for the remainder of the path.
- The path is uneven in places due to raised/lowered drain hole covers.
- The path narrows in places, most notably when passing Bus Stop A.
- The bus stop is sheltered and has fixed seating available.
- Upon reaching the end of the path, cross over Lawrence Road.
Lawrence Road Crossing
- There are dropped kerbs on both sides of the crossing.
- The crossing has tactile paving on the far side only.
- The road surface consists of tarmac.
- The road is cambered and uneven in places.
- There are no visual or audible signals available at this crossing.
Lawrence Road Crossing to Selhurst Road Crossing
- Having crossed Lawrence Road, continue ahead along Selhurst Road for approximately 220m towards the Selhurst Road crossing.
- The path along this section of the route consists of tarmac.
- There is a slight slope towards the road along the entirety of the path.
- There is a slight uphill gradient along the entirety of the path.
- The path is uneven in places due to raised/lowered drain hole covers.
- The path narrows in places, most notably when passing the bus stop.
- The bus stop is sheltered and has fixed seating available.
- There are access points for vehicles located on the left hand side of the path along its entirety.
- At the end of the path, having reached the tactile paving indicating a crossing to the right, turn right and cross the road over Selhurst Road.
Selhurst Road Crossing
- There is tactile paving and dropped kerbs on both sides of the crossing.
- There is a slight gradient between the path and the road on both sides of the crossing.
- The road surface consists of tarmac.
- The road is cambered and even.
- There are visual indicators available at this crossing.
- The visual signals are activated via push buttons. These are between the heights of 95cm and 105cm.
- There are rotating cones located at the base of the push button boxes to indicate when it is safe to cross.
Selhurst Road Crossing to the Outer Concourse (Holmesdale Road)
- Having crossed, turn slightly left for 5 metres, then continue ahead along Park Road for approximately 170 metres towards the concourse area outside the Holmesdale Road Stand.
- The Path along this section of the route consists of tarmac.
- The path has a slight slop towards the road along it entirety.
- The path has a slight uphill gradient along its entirety.
- The path is mostly even with the occasional raised/lowered drain hole cover.
- The path narrows in places due to sign/lamp posts a well as trees.
- At the end of the path, having reached the tactile paving indicating a crossing to the left, turn left and cross the road towards the concourse area outside the Holmesdale Road Stand.
- Holmesdale Road is part of the traffic exclusion zone on matchdays.
