Introduction

  • The outer concourse area refers to the private road located outside the Main Stand which has gated access from either Holmesdale Road or the Sainsbury's site.
  • The Fanzone, Information Centre and Main Reception are located in this area.
  • The walkways around the remainder of the stadium run through the Sainsbury's site, along Whitehorse Lane, Park Road and Holmesdale Road.
  • On matchdays Park Road and Holmesdale Road are closed to traffic approximately 2 hours before kick-off.
  • The road remains closed to traffic after the final whistle for as long as is required.

Outer Concourse (Main Stand)

  • The outer concourse area has a tarmac surface. The concourse is mostly level with some slight slopes in places. There is a steep slope in the section leading up to the gated entrance in Holmesdale Road.
  • There is ramped access to the Fanzone and Main Reception from the concourse area. Food and drink is served in the Fanzone. There is also an Information Point and a stadium map next to the Fanzone. There are multiple programme stalls located along this section of the concourse.
  • The Main Stand and some of its hospitality areas can be accessed from the concourse area.
  • Clear directional signage is provided on the concourse.
  • There is a stadium plan/map on the concourse.
  • There is a steward/member of staff available for assistance on match days.

Counter (Information Point)

  • Counter View
    • The counter is located on the outer concourse, next to the Fanzone.
    • There is step-free access to the counter.
    • There is a clear unobstructed route to the counter.
    • There are no windows, TVs, glazed screens or mirrors behind the counter which could adversely affect the ability of someone to lip read.
    • The counter is not placed in front of a background which is patterned.
    • The height of the counter is high (110cm+).
    • There is not sufficient space to write or sign documents on the counter.
    • There is not a lowered section of the counter.
    • The counter is staffed.
    • There is not a hearing assistance system at the counter.
  • Comments View
    • There is a luggage storage counter also available at the Information Point.
    • The height of the luggage storage counter is 99cm.
    • There is a slight slope located in front of the counter.
    • Items such as suitcases, motorcycle helmets and shopping bags can be held here during the game.
    • The Information Point is also used as a meeting point for home supporters.
    • The meeting point is clearly signed.
    • There is an uneven tarmac surface at the meeting point area.

Outer Walkways (Sainsbury's Site)

  • The walkway through the Sainsbury's site between Whitehorse Lane and the stadium concourse has 4 clearly marked steps with handrails in the centre. The steps are medium height (16cm). The steps can be overcome by using slight/steep slopes and ramps. The surface of the walkways is tarmac and flagstone paving. There are some low level bollards along the route. The width between the bollards is 130cm.
  • The Club Shop and Ticket Office are located off the Sainsbury's site walkway. There is a programme stall and a Fan Support stall located along this section of the walkway.
  • The gateway leading into the concourse can be accessed from the Sainsbury's site. There is a cobbled surface in front of the main gate.
  • Clear directional signage is not provided.
  • There is one stadium map(s).
  • There is a steward/member of staff available for assistance on match days.

Outer Walkways (Whitehorse Lane)

  • Whitehorse Lane is not part of the traffic exclusion zone so pedestrians must use the pavement. There is step-free access along the paths which have a tarmac surface. Gradients along the path are slight but the path surface can be slightly uneven in places.
  • There are some narrow sections on the paths past bins, bus stops and traffic lights. There is also a driveway along the route which has dropped kerbs and tactile paving on both sides. There is a programme stall located on the corner of Whitehorse Lane and Park Road.
  • The only part of the stadium that can be accessed from Whitehorse Lane are the Executive Boxes in the Whitehorse Lane Stand.
  • Clear directional signage is not provided.
  • There are no stadium map(s).

Outer Walkways (Park Road)

  • Park Road is part of the traffic exclusion zone during matchdays. There is step-free access along the paths and road which all have tarmac surfaces. These can be slightly uneven in places. The road and path slope upwards from Whitehorse Lane to Holmesdale Road. There are some steep sections along the nearside pavement outside Entrances 4 and 5. There are several dropped kerbs between the road and the nearside pavement.
  • The visiting supporter's ticket box office is located along Park Road near to the junction with Holmesdale Road. There is a Fan Support stall located along this section of the concourse at Entrance 6.
  • There are entrances for the Arthur Wait Stand along Park Road. Entrance 6 is for visiting supporters and Entrances 4 and 5 are for home supporters. Entrances 5 and 6 have step-free access.
  • Entrance 7 which gives stepped access to the Whitehorse Lane Stand can also be accessed from Park Road.
  • Clear directional signage is provided.
  • There is one stadium map(s).
  • There is a steward/member of staff available for assistance on match days.

Outer Walkways (Holmesdale Road)

  • Holmesdale Road is part of the traffic exclusion zone during matchdays. There is step-free access along the paths and road which all have tarmac surfaces. These can be slightly uneven in places. The road and path slope downhill from the junction with Park Road. There are some steep sections along the road and pavements outside Entrance 2. There are not many dropped kerbs between the road and nearside pavement.
  • The first aid area is located along Holmesdale Road. The stadium concourse area can be accessed via a gateway from Holmesdale Road. There are multiple programme stalls located along this section of the concourse. There is a Fan Support stall located at Gate H on the corner of Park Road and Holmesdale Road.
  • Entrances 1, 2 and 3 give access to the Holmesdale Road Stand. Entrances 2 has step-free access.
  • Clear directional signage is provided.
  • There are some stadium map(s).
  • There is a steward/member of staff available for assistance on match days.
