The Hive

  • The Hive houses the Hex Hotel, forthcoming Conference Centre, Amphitheatre and eateries including Evolution Experience Restaurant, Wilds Café Bistro and independent shops.

Yorkshire Wildlife Park

  • The paths beyond the Yorkshire Wildlife Park gated access points take you to the various themed areas of the park including Safari Village and iCaramba. The surface of the paths in the Wildlife Park are concrete with some loose pebbles.
  • There are some easy slopes throughout.

Access Point (iCaramba)

  • Access Point View
    • This information is for the access point located on the path between Wallaby Walkabout and Jungle Lookout.
    • There is not an information board/map at this access point.
    • There is step-free access at this access point.
    • There is no gate at this access point.

Jungle Lookout and Woodland Trail

  • The pathways in this area are made of loose gravel, compact dirt and wood chippings.
  • The ground can be very slippery when wet.
  • The pathways vary in gradients and widths.
  • Wheelchair users may require assistance.
  • There is good signage throughout the area.
  • There are several picnic areas and places to rest.

Wallaby Walkabout and Handwash Station

  • The gates at the entrance and exit open away from you (push) and are heavy.
  • The gates are 110cm in width.
  • The entrance is shown in photographs 1 and 2.
  • The exit is shown in photograph 3.
  • There are 2 sets of gates at the entrance and exit.
  • The pathways around the secured area are concrete with loose gravel.
  • There are information boards around the secured area.

Polar Bears and Giant Otters

  • There is an easy slope to access the viewing area at the giant otters. There are handrails on both sides of the viewing area.

Lemur Woods and Handwash Station

  • The gates at the entrance and exit open away from you (push) and are heavy.
  • The gates are 110cm in width.
  • The pathways around the secured area are concrete with loose gravel.
  • There are hand wash stations at the entrance and exit.
  • The height of the sink is 90cm.
  • There is a hosepipe for washing wheelchair wheels.
  • The height of the hook for the hosepipe is 168cm.

Eating and Drinking (iCaramba!)
