Hammersmith Station (Hammersmith & City Line) to Hammersmith Station (District & Piccadilly Line)

  • When exiting Hammersmith Station (Hammersmith & City Line) turn right onto Beadon Road.
  • Follow the path for approximately 30 metres until you reach the Beadon Road crossing point to the Broadway Shopping Centre.
  • There are two crossing points at this section of the route; one to cross Beadon Road and then to cross Hammersmith Broadway (A210).
  • On all crossings, traffic will be coming from your right.
  • All the crossing points have dropped kerbs, tactile paving, push button controls, rotating cones and visual displays.
  • Once across you continue straight ahead for approximately 10 metres to the entrance of the Broadway Shopping Centre.
  • A long steep slope leads down from the entrance towards Hammersmith Station (District & Piccadilly Line).

Hammersmith Station - District and Piccadilly Line

  • Hammersmith Station is on both the District and Piccadilly Lines.
  • There is step-free access at this station.
  • Lifts provide access between the platforms and the station concourse.
  • There are no accessible toilets or standard toilets available.
  • The nearest standard toilets are within the Broadway Shopping Centre (charges apply).
  • Parking is available at the Broadway Shopping Centre.

Hammersmith Station (District & Piccadilly) to Hammersmith Broadway (A219) Crossing Point

  • Exiting the station turn left along the Broadway Shopping Centre concourse.
  • The surface of the concourse consists of tiles.
  • Follow the concourse until you reach 'Tesco Metro' on the righthand side.
  • Turn right at 'Tesco Metro' and then left at 'The Yardbird' public house.
  • Continue up a long slope towards the exit of the Broadway Shopping Centre.
  • Go through the set of automatic doors (75cm+) and continue up the slope.
  • At the top of the slope, you have reached the crossing point for Hammersmith Broadway (A219).

Hammersmith Broadway (A219) Crossing Point

  • This crossing point goes across the A219 from the Broadway Shopping Centre to Fulham Palace Road.
  • The road surface is tarmac.
  • There is a centre refuge point.
  • There are dropped kerbs and tactile paving on all crossing points.
  • The visual signal are activated by push buttons.
  • There are rotating cones located at the base of the push button boxes to indicate when it is safe to cross.
  • Traffic is coming from the left at all crossing points.

Hammersmith Broadway (A219) Crossing Point to Inglethorpe Street

  • Having crossed the A219, continue ahead along Fulham Palace Road.
  • This section of the route is approximately 1.5 km and takes approximately 18-20 minutes to walk.
  • The majority of the pathways consist of paving slabs.
  • The width of the pathways range from 100cm to 300cm wide.
  • The pathway narrows in places due to directional signage, lamp posts, bus stops and litter bins.
  • There are occasional driveways along this route.
  • Be wary of vehicles entering/exiting the driveways.
  • There are 16 roads to cross along this section of the route.
  • All the road crossings have dropped kerbs or the road is raised to level the path.
  • Nine of the road crossings have tactile paving.
  • Caution should be taken when crossing roads due to traffic coming from both directions.
  • Turn right when reaching Inglethorpe Street.

Inglethorpe Street to the Outer Concourse (Stevenage Road)

  • From Fulham Palace Road continue down Inglethorpe Street towards Stevenage Road.
  • This section of the route is approximately 375 metres long and a 4-5 minute walk.
  • The pathway is 180cm wide and consists of paving slabs.
  • Telegraph poles and hedges narrow the pathway to 120cm in places.
  • After walking approximately 190 metres, you will reach the junction of Woodlawn Road.
  • This crossing point has dropped kerbs with no tactile paving on both sides of the road.
  • The surface of the road is tarmac.
  • Once across Woodlawn Road, continue along Inglethorpe Street.
  • At the end of Inglethorpe Street, you have reached Stevenage Road.
  • There is a dropped kerb without tactile paving leading onto Stevenage Road.

Outer Concourse (Stevenage Road)

  • There is step-free access along the concourse.
    The surface along the concourse varies between block paving, concrete tiles and tarmac.
  • There are food and drink stands along Stevenage Road.
    There are programme stalls along Stevenage Road.
  • On matchdays there is a traffic exclusion zone along Stevenage Road before, during and after kick-off.
  • Clear directional signage is not provided on the concourse.
  • There is not a stadium plan/map on the concourse.
  • There is a steward/member of staff available for assistance on match days.
