Getting Here

  • By Road View
    • Intu Merry Hill is easily accessible from the M5 and the main routes leading from Birmingham city centre.
      For those travelling by motorcycles, there are designated motorcycle bays located by the petrol station at Asda and at the centre's multi-story car park.
      For visitors using a Sat Nav please use the postcode; DY5 1QX.
    • There are 5 Car Parks located around the shopping centre; Blue Car Park, Green Car Park, Orange Car Park, Yellow Car Park, and the Purple Car Park (Main and Multi Deck).
  • By Bus View
  • By Train View
    • The nearest Railway Station is Cradley Heath.
    • There are frequent rail services to Cradley Heath Train Station from Birmingham, Worcester, West Bromwich and Stourbridge.
      Cradley Heath Train Station is only an 8 minute drive from the shopping centre.
      Connecting buses from Cradley Heath Train Station to intu Merry Hill include the following - 4M, 53, 141, 243, 297 and the 297A.

Getting Help and Assistance

  • There is a member of staff available for help and assistance.
  • Staff receive disability awareness/equality training.
  • There is not a member of staff trained in British Sign Language.
  • Water bowls for assistance dogs are available.
  • Large print versions of the shopping centre map are available from the customer service desks.
    There is an escorting service available to assist visitors with visual impairments.
  • A designated assistance dog toileting area is currently being built outside the shopping centre (March 2017), this should be completed by the end of the summer (2017).
  • Members of staff are currently being trained in British Sign Language (March 2017).

Centre Management

  • Centre Management is located on the third floor of the shopping centre.
  • Access to Centre Management is via the Purple Multi Deck Car Park lift and stairs.
  • Access to the lift and stairs is either via the Purple Multi Deck Car Park or at the rear of the Upper Mall, to the right of Sports Direct.

Other Floors

  • Stairs View
    • Stairs can be used to access other floors.
    • The stairs are clearly visible from the entrance.
    • There are manual, heavy, single doors to exit the stairwell on the third floor.
    • The floors which are accessible by stairs are G-1-2-3.
    • There are 15+ steps between floors.
    • The height of the step(s) is/are not between the recommended 15cm and 18cm.
    • The height of the step(s) is/are 19cm.
    • The going of the step(s) is/are not between the recommended 30cm and 45cm.
    • The steps are clearly marked.
    • There is a/are handrail(s) at the step(s).
    • The steps have a handrail on both sides.
