COVID-19 Information

  • The information in this section was taken in October 2020.
  • There is a queuing system in place for entry to the building with a temporary marquee.
  • Passengers are let in one by one and met by a greeter who informs them about what restrictions are in place and the use of sanitisers.
  • The main terminal building is cordoned off into two sections to divide those checking-in from arrivals. This means that those in the Check-In Hall who wish to use the Multi-Denominational Prayer Room or the Changing Place have to leave the building and re-enter by the other entrance. The key to the Changing Place has to be first picked up at the information desk at the Check-In Hall entrance.
  • There are sanitising stations throughout the terminal building.
  • In Security, the benches after the security gates have been divided into sections for individual or family grouping use, to allow for social distancing.
  • There is signage throughout and floor markings for queuing at check-in desks.
  • Desks and counters throughout the airport have protective screens.
  • The accessible toilets in the International Arrivals Baggage Claim have been reduced from two to a single shared facility. The other is now for the use of Border Patrol staff only. This means that there is now only a right hand transfer toilet (the other being left hand transfer).
  • Standard toilets have some restrictions with urinals closed off etc. but all are open.
  • The following areas are currently closed; WHSmith in the Check-In Hall, the Meeting Place cafĂ© in the Arrivals Hall and the Aspire Lounge in Departures.
