Getting Help and Assistance

  • Special Assistance please click here (new tab).
  • There is a member of staff available for help and assistance.
  • There is not a member of staff trained in British Sign Language.
  • British Sign Language interpreters cannot be provided on request.
  • There is an assistance dog toilet or toileting area at the venue/nearby.
  • The assistance dog toilet or toileting area is located the grass verge at the end of the Departures Terminal.
  • Water bowls for assistance dogs are not available.
  • There are mobility aids available.
  • The mobility aids available include wheelchairs.
  • To obtain mobility aids please contact the Special Assistance desk in the Departures Lounge.
  • For passengers requiring Special Assistance, please let your airline know of your particular needs at least 48 hours before you travel. They will then make arrangements to ensure your requirements are met.
    If you are planning on travelling with your own electric wheelchair, please advise your airline in advance.
    Please check in at least 90 minutes before the stated time of departure.
  • For Blue Badge bay users wishing to take their Blue Badge with them when travelling abroad, contact the Customer Relations desk to obtain a temporary parking permit to display in the car.
  • For passengers with particular needs in relation to autism, dementia or other particular mental health needs, please contact the Customer Relations team by e-mail at least 48 hours before travel, specifying particular requirements. They will then endeavour to meet your needs.

Getting Here

  • By Road View
    • The airport is located near St Peters, west of the capital St Helier.
      From St Helier head northwest on the A2 Victoria Avenue.
      After 2.5 km the road turns slightly left and becomes the A1 La Route de la Haule.
      After 850m at the roundabout, take the second exit onto A12 La Route de Beaumont, signposted St Peter and St Ouen.
      After 1.7 km, at the roundabout, take the first exit onto B36 L'Avenue de la Reine Elizabeth II, signposted Red Houses.
      Continue 1.2 km to the next roundabout.
      Take the second exit and enter the airport.
    • There is an Express Drop Off zone directly outside the Departures Terminal main entrance. Stopping is only permitted to allow passengers to be dropped off.
      The first 30 minutes of parking in the Long Stay Car Park is free, allowing a longer time for drop off.
      The Long Stay Car Park is opposite the Departures Terminal Building. Blue Badge parking is available in this car park.
      The Arrivals Car Park is outside the Arrivals Terminal and is a short stay car park. Blue Badge parking is available in this car park.
  • By Bus View
    • There is a bus stop within 150 metres of the venue.
    • LibertyBus operate a frequent direct bus service (route 15) between Liberation Station in St Helier and the airport. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes.
      Buses drop off outside the Departures Terminal entrances and pick up at the bus stop outside the Arrivals Terminal.
      Other services that also stop at/near the airport including route 9 between Greve de Lecq and St Helier and route 22 between L'Etacq and St Helier.

Airport Parking

  • Parking View
    • The car park is located to the right as you enter the airport, opposite the Departures Terminal.
    • The car park type is open air/surface.
    • The car park does not have a height restriction barrier.
    • The car park does have a barrier control system at the entrance.
    • There is a touchscreen at the barrier.
    • The car park surface is tarmac.
    • There is a/are Blue Badge parking bay(s) available.
    • The Blue Badge bay(s) is/are clearly marked.
    • There is/are 6 designated Blue Badge parking bay(s) within the car park.
    • The dimensions of the designated Blue Badge parking bay(s) surveyed are 470cm x 500cm (15ft 5in x 16ft 5in).
    • There is a 120cm hatched zone around the Blue Badge parking bay(s).
    • The dimensions of other designated Blue Badge parking bay(s) vary in size.
    • There are help points available within the car park.
  • Paying and Booking View
    • There are parking charges for the car park.
    • Parking is free for pick up and drop off.
    • The first 30 minutes of parking is free.
    • Payment signs are provided.
    • Payment signs are located at the entrance to the car park, at the payment machines in the car park and at the payment machines in the building.
    • Payment signs are not clearly presented.
    • Payment machines are located at the car park exit, and in the Arrivals Terminal, through the doorway to the left of the Arrivals Terminal entrance (photograph 12), and in the Departures Terminal.
    • There is not a payment machine at a convenient height for wheelchair users.
    • There is a level turning space (minimum 185cm x 210cm) in front of the payment machine(s).
  • Exiting the Car Park View
    • The car park does have a barrier control system at the exit.
    • There is a touchscreen at the exit barrier.
    • The car park exit barrier is directly on to the service road, at the opposite end of the car park from the Terminal buildings, at the end of parking Row D.
      There is a similar exit at the end of Row F.
      There is a help/assistance intercom located at the ticket points.
      There is not a hearing loop fitted at the ticket points.
      Card or contactless payments may be made at the ticket points.
      Drivers are advised to pay at the machines in the terminal buildings or in the car park.
      Payment can also be made at the machine as you exit the car park.
      The height of the buttons/controls range between 83cm - 125cm.
      Turn left as you exit the car park to exit the airport.
  • Comments View
    • There is an express drop off only (no waiting) directly outside the Departures Terminal (photographs 21 and 22).

Route from Long Stay Car Park to Departures Terminal

  • Take the pedestrian exit adjacent to the Blue Badge bays toward the Departures Terminal.
  • There are barriers on the approach.
    .
  • The minimum width between the barriers is 170cm.
  • There is a dropped kerb with tactile paving at the exit and at the service road.
  • Use the zebra crossing to cross the service road.
  • There is traffic coming from both directions on the service road.
  • Bear right and enter the Terminal Building.
  • The Special Assistance desk is to the right as you enter.
  • There is a ticket pay machine to the right as you enter. Other ticket machines may be found in the Arrivals Terminal and in the car park.
