Getting Here

  • By Road View
    • From the M61 leave at junction 8. Take the A6 exit to Southport/Leyland/Chorley. At the roundabout, turn left onto the A674. At the next roundabout, take the second exit onto Preston Road/A6. At the next roundabout, turn right onto Euxton Lane/B5252. Chorley and South Ribble District General Hospital is located on the left. Via the M65/M61 Take the M65 to Junction 2, At junction 2, exit onto M61 towards Manchester/Chorley, Take the M61 to junction 8, Take the A6 exit to Southport/Leyland/Chorley, At the roundabout, turn left onto the A674, At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Preston Rd/A6, At the next roundabout, turn right onto Euxton Lane/B5252, The hospital is on your left.
    • Chorley and South Ribble District General Hospital has three main public car parks and two smaller parking areas. There are 23 Blue Badge bays.
  • By Bus View
    • There are a number of hospital bus stops. Hospital Stop 1 and Hospital Stop 2 are located on either side of Preston Road (A6). Hospital Stop 3 is located within the hospital grounds, just outside the Outpatients entrance. Hospital Stops 4 and 5 are located on either side of Euxton Lane. Buses that operate here include number 114, 119, 125, 125c, 415, 727, 780, 786 and 787. Bus companies that operate the buses include, Stagecoach Bus, Tyrers Coaches and Preston Bus.

    • The nearest train station is Buckshaw Parkway. It is located approximately 1.7km from the hospital. The station has step free access.

    • There is a shuttle bus service between Royal Preston Hospital and Chorley and South Ribble Hospital. Tickets can be purchased from the General Offices, which are in the main entrances to both hospitals and are open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (except bank holidays). The price per single journey is £3.00.
    • The bus stops are at the Gordon Hesling Block entrance at Royal Preston Hospital and the main entrance at Chorley and South Ribble Hospital.

Getting To (Duxbury Ward)
