Access Guide
Introduction
- The following information describes the route from Freemen's Common Car Park to the King Power Stadium.
- The approximate distance of this route is 600m.
- The route takes approximately 8-15 minutes.
- The route leads along Freemen's Common Road and down Raw Dykes Road to the stadium.
- The majority of paths along the route are tarmac with some uneven surfaces in places.
- There is street signage located along the route directing you to the stadium.
- The potential hazards on this route include; busy roads, crossing points and congested pathways.
- The visual indicators at the crossing points are activated by push buttons, these are between the heights of 95cm and 105cm.

- The following information relates to the parking available on a matchday.
- This car park is for home and away supporters.
- Parking spaces are available on a match-by-match basis.
- Parking is not free for all supporters on match day.
- Parking is not free for Blue Badge holders on a match day.
- Payment for the car park is taken by a parking attendant. The parking attendants are independent and not linked to Leicester City Football Club.
- The independent car parks are run in aid of the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Therapy Centre. Parking is £6 and all proceeds go to the charity.

Freemen's Common Car Park to Raw Dykes Road (Via Freemen's Common Road)
- Exit Freemen’s Common Car Park via the access point and cross Freemen’s Common Road diagonally to the left.
- There are dropped kerbs on both sides of the road crossing.
- The dropped kerbs do not have tactile paving.
- There are no pedestrian crossing signals here.
- Caution is advised because of traffic coming from both directions.
- After crossing the road turn right and follow the path along Freemen’s Common Road for approximately 100m.
- There is step-free access throughout this part of the route.
- The surface of the path is tarmac.
- As the path bears left follow the road around and continue alongside Freemen’s Common Road for approximately 200m.
- There are a number of access roads along this section of Freemen’s Common Road.
- There are dropped kerbs at each of the access roads with no tactile paving.
- At the bottom of the road the route reaches a crossroad with a pedestrian crossing point.
Raw Dykes Road to the Outer Concourse
- The crossing point at the bottom of Freemen’s Common Road/Aylestone Road gives access to Raw Dykes Road.
- This crossing point consists of three road crossings.
- At the first crossing point the traffic is coming from your right.
- After the first crossing take the next crossing point on the left.
- At the second crossing point the traffic is coming from both directions.
- After the second crossing take the next crossing point on the left.
- At the third crossing point the traffic is coming from your left.
- After completing the third crossing turn right and join Raw Dykes Road.
- There are dropped kerbs with tactile paving at each crossing point.
- Each crossing point is controlled by a visual indicator.
- The visual indicators are activated by push buttons.
- There are rotating cones located at the base of the push button boxes to indicate when it is safe to cross.
- There is step-free access throughout this part of the route.
- The surface of the path is tarmac.
- There are various access roads along Raw Dykes Road with dropped kerbs and no tactile paving.
- Car Park E is located on the left along Raw Dykes Road.
- From Car Park E continue along Raw Dykes Road for approximately 80m until you reach the Filbert Way roundabout.
- Cross Filbert Way using the dropped kerbs available.
- There is no tactile paving at the dropped kerbs.
- There is step-free access onto the outer concourse.
- On matchdays Raw Dykes Road is closed off as part of the traffic exclusion zone.
- On matchdays this part of the route can become congested.
Outer Concourse
- The outer concourse has a block paving surface. All stands are accessible via the outer concourse.
- On match days there are independent food stalls and mobile counters selling match day programmes located around the concourse. There is a shirt printing and information point, which is located on the North West corner of the ground. There is a music stage with live entertainment located at the front of the North Stand.
- All entrances into the stadium have step-free access but there are some very easy slopes along the outer concourse.
- Opposite the West Stand there is the Leicester City FC Remembrance Garden.
- Clear directional signage is provided on the concourse.
- There is a stadium plan/map on the concourse.
- There is a steward/member of staff available for assistance on match days.
