Introduction

  • This is the UK's First Roundabout.

Parking

  • There is on street parking available on all roads leading to the roundabout (as shown in photographs 1-6).
  • There are no marked bays.
  • There are no parking restrictions.

Broadway North

  • There is an easy slope leading up to the crossing on the path between Sollershot East and Broadway North (as shown in photograph 1).
  • There is tactile paving on both sides of the crossing.
  • There are dropped kerbs on both sides of the crossing.
  • There are moderate and steep slopes between the path and the road at the crossing (as shown in photographs 2 and 4).
  • The path between Broadway North and Spring Road North has a continuous easy upwards slope with a strip of tactile paving at the base. (as shown in photograph 5).
  • The path is uneven in places.

Spring Road North

  • There is no tactile paving on either side of the crossing.
  • There are dropped kerbs on both sides of the crossing.
  • There are moderate and easy slopes between the path and the road at the crossing (as shown in photographs 1 and 2).
  • The path between Spring Road North and Sollershot West is uneven in places (as shown in photograph 3).

Sollershot West

  • There is no tactile paving on either side of the crossing.
  • There are dropped kerbs on both sides of the crossing.
  • There are moderate and easy slopes between the path and the road at the crossing (as shown in photographs 1 and 3).
  • The path between Sollershot West and Broadway South is narrow (90cm wide) and uneven (as shown in photograph 4).

Broadway South

  • There is no tactile paving on either side of the crossing.
  • There are dropped kerbs on both sides of the crossing.
  • There are easy and steep slopes between the path and the road at the crossing (as shown in photographs 1 and 3).
  • The path between Broadway South and Spring Road South is very uneven in places (as shown in photograph 4).

Spring Road South

  • There is tactile paving on both sides of the crossing.
  • There are dropped kerbs on both sides of the crossing.
  • There are easy and moderate slopes between the path and the road at the crossing (as shown in photographs 1 and 2).
  • The path between Spring Road South and Sollershot East has a continuous easy downwards slope and is mostly even (as shown in photograph 3).

Sollershot East

  • There is tactile paving on both sides of the crossing.
  • There are dropped kerbs on both sides of the crossing.
  • There are easy and moderate slopes between the path and the road at the crossing (as shown in photographs 1 and 2).
  • The path between Sollershot East and Broadway North is narrow (140cm wide) and uneven in places.
  • There is a wider alternative route to the left as you exit the crossing, with a strip of tactile paving across the path at its beginning (as shown in photograph 4 and 5).
  • The alternate path is also uneven in places.
