About this venue

Beaversfield Park was opened by the Mayor of Heston and Isleworth Borough Council on 8 June 1935, its name taken from the fields of Beavers Farm to the west of Hounslow Barracks on Beavers Lane. It was created to serve the rapidly growing population of Hounslow West, and its early facilities included bowling and putting greens, tennis courts and children's playground as well as horticultural features. The park features a large area of open grass and a number of playground and recreational facilities.

Introduction

  • The park offers something for all members of the community, no matter where interests lie; from relaxing in the maze area, to having a game of cricket on the playing field, there are so many ways to enjoy its facilities.
  • Recently identified as a key park in the borough - the principle park serving the Hounslow West area - Beaversfield Park is a great example of what can be achieved through investment in a local park.
  • The park has a range of equipment to interest children including: four rockers, a play house, swings and play area for the under 5's, a carousel, multi-play area, climbing frame and swings for the over 5's. Seating for adults is also provided.
  • The park also has a large area of open grassland. Interestingly, the raised area is actually over an old air raid shelter. The former tennis courts have been converted into multi-sports play areas. A green field site, this park was opened to the public in 1935. The name is believed to have come from its location - near Beavers Farm.
