Alan Turing Way Bus Stop D to Sir Howard Bernstein Way

  • Exit the bus, turn left and follow the Alan Turing Way path.
  • The path has a flagstone paving surface which is slightly uneven in places with some loose stones.
  • There is a bin and a post in the path along this section.
  • After approximately 12 metres you will reach the bollards which mark the start of Sir Howard Bernstein Way.
  • Turn right and pass between the bollards.
  • The minimum gap between bollards is 132cm.
  • The bollards do not have a good colour contrast with the background but do have a white contrasting strip at the top.

Sir Howard Bernstein Way to the Outer Concourse

  • Follow Sir Howard Bernstein Way for approximately 220 metres.
  • The surface along this walkway is tarmac and resin bound.
  • The walkway is very wide and level.
  • There are bench seats for resting along this part of the route.
  • At the end of Sir Howard Bernstein Way pass between the bollards and you will reach the outer concourse.
  • The minimum gap between bollards is 118cm.
  • The bollards do not have a good colour contrast with the background but do have 2 white contrasting strips at the top.
  • There is step-free access onto the outer concourse.

Outer Concourse

  • The outer concourse has a tarmac/resin bound gravel surface and is step-free and mostly smooth throughout.
    All stands are accessible via the outer concourse.
  • On matchdays there are some merchandise cabins located around the outer concourse. The cabins have short, steep ramps for access.
    There are kiosks selling matchday programmes located around the outer concourse.
    The City Square Fanzone is located on the concourse outside the Family Zone.
  • All entrances into the stadium have step-free access.
  • A road closure operates immediately after the event/match to allow pedestrians to leave the Etihad Stadium safely. This is in place for approximately 20 minutes after the event/match.
    Roads affected by the closure include; Ashton New Road – between Alan Turing Way and Darley Street, Grey Mare Lane – between Ashton New Road and Alan Turing Way, Merrill Street – between Pollard Street and Ashton New Road.
  • Clear directional signage is provided on the concourse.
  • There is a stadium plan/map on the concourse.
  • There is a steward/member of staff available for assistance on match days.
