About Milton Keynes Council

Milton Keynes has a unique heritage, as a new city built in 1967. For culture there’s a variety of museums, theatres, galleries and artistic sculptures. In the city centre there’s shopping malls with over 400 shops, as well as farmer’s markets and independent village shops. Sports enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice with indoor skiing and skydiving, water sports and a football stadium. For adventurers there’s a theme park, and for those who prefer to relax the ‘city in the country’ has 4,500 acres of woodland and parks. A huge variety of eating and drinking options, including traditional village pubs, offer something for everyone.
