Getting Here

  • By Road View
    • Newcastle Coach Station is located on St James' Boulevard (A189) to the south west of Newcastle City Centre.
      From the north and west take the A1 and A69 to Denton Interchange, A1 Junction 75. Exit the junction taking the A186 signposted City (West). Follow the A186 for approximately 3 miles, proceeding straight across 3 roundabouts. At the traffic lights turn right onto St James' Boulevard, signposted Newcastle Coach Station. After approximately 275m, at the traffic lights, continue straight ahead. After approximately 123m turn left onto Churchill Street. The Coach Station is on the left.
      From the East take the A1058 to the A167(M) South. Exit the A167(M) at the A186, signposted Walker and City Centre (South). At the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A186, signposted City west. Continue along the A186 for approximately 925m. At the traffic lights turn left onto St James' Boulevard. After approximately 123m, turn left onto Churchill Street. The Coach Station is on the left. From the south take the A1 to junction 69, signposted Central Newcastle and Central Gateshead A184. Follow the A184 for approximately 0.8 miles. Keep in the right hand lane and continue onto the A189. Follow the A189 for approximately 0.7 miles. At the traffic lights continue straight ahead. After approximately 200m, turn right onto Churchill Street. The Coach Station is on the left.
    • The Coach Station does not have a car park. There is a 30 minute drop off zone on Churchill Street. There is room for 2 vehicles in the drop off zone.
      There is a public car park off St James' Boulevard with an access road from Churchill Street.
  • By Bus View

    • The nearest bus stop is Westmorland Road-Discovery Museum, on Westmorland Road. The bus stop is served by buses 1, 30, and 31. From the bus stop proceed along Westmorland Road towards Wakenshaw V.C. Junction. At the junction turn right onto St James' Boulevard. After approximately 115m, at the pedestrian crossing, cross over St James' Boulevard and proceed along Churchill Street. The Coach Station is on the left.

    • The nearest Metro station is Central.
    • Exit the station onto Neville Street. Turn left and proceed along Neville Street towards the Centre for Life. Proceed past the Centre for Life, and turn left onto Marlborough (A695). After approximately 120m use the pedestrian crossing and proceed across Marlborough. Proceed straight ahead onto Churchill Street. The Coach Station is on the right after approximately 60m.
