COVID-19 Information

  • The information in this section was taken in November 2020.
  • B45 (Fortunes of War) and B28 (Fantastic Flight) are currently closed.
  • There have been no changes to the parking.
  • There is an external queuing system for entry to the shop and the main route to Concorde with social distancing markers on the floor and hand sanitiser.
    There is also an external queuing system of the same nature at the Parachute store.
  • H4 Concorde - the entrance is as normal, via the shop ramp (route from café is no longer available). The exit is now through an open door on the south facing wall which takes you onto a tarmac path and brings you round to the café.
  • H2 and H3- the entrances are as normal. The exits are via an open door on the east wall. The exits require all users to travel over a short ramp.
  • Parachute store - this route has not changed.
  • Hand sanitising stations are available at the following locations; the ticket kiosk, café (x2), shop queuing area, shop exit, H4 entrance, inside H4, H2 entrance and exit, H3 entrance and exit, parachute store and in the external play area.
  • There are capacity limits for each building in place.
  • There are strict one way systems in place in Hangars 2 and 3, and a less rigid general flow system in place in Hangar 4 (Concorde Hangar).
  • There is clear signage inside to help with social distancing.
  • Directional signs, floor markings and Concorde symbols are all in place.
  • Protective screens are in place in the shop, café and ticket kiosk.
  • The lift in H2 and viewing platform is closed and stairs are out of use. Free flow is external.
  • As Fantastic Flight is closed those toilets are not available. However all other toilets remain open including the accessible toilet in Hangar 4.
  • Some urinals have been closed to assist with social distancing and only one family group or bubble may enter the toilets at any given time.
  • Staff are available for assistance at the shop queue, at the entrance to the Concorde aircraft itself to control boarding and at the entrance to the Concorde hangar. Other staff are deployed as normal.
  • Face Masks must be worn indoors at all times (unless exempt) and track and trace is in operation.
  • Additional Information
    - Tickets should be purchased in advance via the website at which point contact details will be recorded and stored securely for 21 days after the visit. Contact details are required for at least one member of the party.
    - Contactless card transactions are preferred on site.
    - Assistance dogs are still permitted on site but must be kept on a lead.
    - An additional cleaning regime is in operation so toilets and Concorde Aircraft are temporarily closed throughout the day for short periods of time.
    - All boarding aircraft except Concorde are closed for boarding but can be viewed externally (BAC 1-11, Comet and Boeing 707). Only one family group or bubble is permitted on Concorde at any one time and a queuing system is in place with social distancing markers on the floor for entry.
    - Audio guides are not in use.
