Country Park

  • The Park offers sloping and flat areas of grassland with footpaths around the perimeter.
  • It hosts a number of ancient specimen trees.
  • Spectacular views as far as the Campsie Fells and the Ochil Hills can be seen from the top end of the park.
  • The majority of the park has a grass surface throughout. A parameter path is available which has tarmac and grass surfaces, with level, slight and steep inclines.
  • The Park is a popular spot for children's activities, football games and general relaxation.
  • Cumbernauld House Park has a well developed history, with ties to the Romans, Normans, James IV, Mary Stewart, Cromwell, Covenanters, and the Jacobites.
  • More recently it has provided the people of Cumbernauld with an attractive open space for relaxing and walking.

Parkland
