Coach Lane Main Reception

Coach Lane Main Reception to Coach Lane Bus Stop

  • After leaving the main entrance follow the path ahead.
  • There is an easy ramp going down here.
  • To the right of the main entrance there is seating available.
  • The path follows the wall to the left as you exit the building.
  • After approximately 30m you will come to a fork in the path.
  • Follow the path to the left and continue ahead.
  • There is an easy slope here, going up, without handrails.
  • Follow this path for approximately 20m and you will come to a Pelican crossing.
  • The crossing has dropped kerbs with tactile paving on both sides of the road.
  • The height to the button on the crossing is 109cm.
  • There is a cone underneath.
  • The height to the cone is 105cm.
  • The crossing has both audible and visual indicators.
  • Traffic comes from both directions.
  • The road can be busy.
  • Once across the road turn right and continue along Coach Lane.
  • After approximately 10m the path becomes tarmac surface, and narrows.
  • The width of the path here is 135cm.
  • Continue along Coach Lane for approximately 60m.
  • You will come to Westminster Way.
  • Follow the path around to the left and you will come to a dropped kerb.
  • The crossing has dropped kerbs with no tactile paving on both side of the road.
  • Traffic will come from both directions.
  • The road is quiet.
  • Once across Westminster Way turn right to continue following the path along Coach Lane.
  • After approximately 35m you will come across a lamppost in the pavement.
  • The width of the path on the left side of the is 154cm wide and the width on the right side is 124cm wide.
  • Continue along coach lane for approximately 100m and you will come to the bus stop.
  • There is bench style seating within the bus stop.

John Dobson Street Bus Stop to Sutherland Building

  • As you exit the bus on John Dobson Street cross over the cycle lane to the footpath.
  • The crossing point has a raised surface creating level access.
  • There are no crossing markings.
  • Caution is advised when crossing because of cycle traffic.
  • The cycle traffic is moving from both directions.
  • After crossing the cycle lane turn left.
  • Follow John Dobson Street to Northumberland Road
  • The surface of the footpath is paving slabs.
  • Along John Dobson Street there is a lamppost that makes the left side of the path 168cm wide and on the right side 280cm wide.
  • After approximately 48m turn right onto Northumberland Road.
  • Follow Northumberland Road for approximately 62m.

  • Some areas of the footpath are uneven and has a dropped kerb.
  • After approximately 62m Northumberland Road crosses College Street.
  • There are dropped kerbs with tactile paving at this crossing point.

  • After the crossing there are several bollards and the minimum width between these is 118cm wide.
  • Continue along Northumberland Road for approximately 54m.
