About Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council

The Causeway Coast, Antrim’s famous coastline, is truly breath-taking. Tourists flock to see the wonderful views from Ballycastle to Portrush. But there’s many more places to visit in Antrim and Newtonabbey. Antrim Castle Gardens are an absolute historical gem. You will find nothing like these 400-year-old gardens anywhere else in Northern Ireland. Lough Neagh is the ideal base for tourists; it’s got a good choice of accommodation, a central location, a rich heritage and good quality shopping. From the town of Larne, the nine Glens of Antrim showcase an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty as one of Antrim’s main tourist attractions.
