East Dunbartonshire has a balanced mix of urban and rural areas. There’s a wide range of activities to enjoy including golf, fishing, sailing, rambling, cycling, heritage, wildlife and country parks. There are four main shopping areas within East Dunbartonshire – Bearsden, Milngavie, Bishopbriggs and Kirkintilloch. There is a variety of shops, with a mixture of traditional shopping, restaurants, cafes and bars. A number of visitor attractions of built and natural heritage in the area include the Auld Kirk Museum, Lillie Art Gallery, the Antonine Wall and Peel Park.
