COVID-19 Information

  • The information in this section was taken in March 2021.
  • There are currently no night tubes on Friday and Saturday nights.
  • Entrances 2 & 3 are closed. Only Entrances 1 & 4 are currently open.
    With Entrances 1 & 4, these are located at the far side of the ticket hall to ensure customers avoid congregating in one area and Oxford Circus does not get over crowded. It also helps with social distancing within the station.
  • Argyle Street is for exit only.
  • There is a one-way system in place at the entrances and exits.

      The route uses steps and escalators and is approximately 60 metres (excluding the steps and escalators) to the closest exit.
      There are steps between the Central line platforms and the exit escalators.
      These escalators then lead up to the exit concourse and ticket hall.
      From the exit concourse/ticket hall, there are a total of 8 exits up to street level, all of which have stepped access.

Route 2 - Transfer - Central Line Platforms to Victoria Line Southbound Platform 5

  • The steps are clearly marked and have handrails on both sides.
  • There is a help point available along this route.
  • Step 1 - as you alight the train, take the exit at the far left (westbound) or far right (eastbound) of the platform.
  • Step 2 - having exited the platform, continue ahead for approximately 20 metres until reaching the link passage (follow Victoria/Bakerloo line signage).
  • Step 3 - from here, take the passage on the right hand-side (signed as southbound platforms) and continue ahead for approximately 10 metres towards the steps.
  • Step 4 - take the steps up, then turn right and take the second set of steps up.
  • Step 5 - from here, follow the passage for approximately 15 metres until reaching the junction.
  • Step 6 - turn right at the junction (following Victoria line southbound signage) and follow the passage around to the right for approximately 15 metres.
  • Step 7 - reach the Victoria line southbound platform (5).

Route 3 - Transfer - Central Line Platforms to Victoria Line Northbound Platform 6

  • The approximate distance of this route is 90 metres (not including steps).
  • This route includes; 18 steps.
  • There are a number of slight slopes along this route.
  • The steps are clearly marked and have handrails on both sides.
  • There is a help point available along this route.
  • Step 1 - as you alight the train, take the exit at the far left (westbound) or far right (eastbound) of the platform.
  • Step 2 - Having exited the platform, continue ahead for approximately 20 metres until reaching the link passage (follow Victoria/Bakerloo line signage).
  • Step 3 - From here, take the passage on the left hand-side (signed as northbound platforms) and continue ahead for approximately 40 metres towards the steps.
  • Step 4 - take the steps up, then follow the passage round to the right for approximately 20 metres towards the junction.
  • Step 6 - turn left at the junction (following Victoria line northbound signage) and follow the passage for approximately 10 metres.
  • Step 7 - reach the Victoria line northbound platform (6).

Route 4 - Transfer - Central Line Platforms to Bakerloo Line Southbound Platform 3

  • The approximate distance of this route is 60 metres (not including steps).
  • This route includes; 13 steps followed by another 14 steps.
