Location of Room(s)
- Lanyon Building Canada Room & Council Chamber is located on the first floor of the Lanyon Building (Lift level 2), in the centre of the building. The Canada Room is the ante-room/breakout for the Council Chamber.

- Lift access to this room is via a passenger lift through the Welcome Centre on the ground floor. Outside the shop opening hours (17:00), access can only be requested through QUB Security (02890 975099).
Teaching/Seminar Room(s)
- Directional and locational signage for the room(s) is available in upper and lower case lettering that is clearly visible.
- The corridor outside the room(s) is sufficiently wide enough (150cm+) to allow wheelchair users to pass.
- There is step free access into the room(s).
- The door opening width(s) is/are 75cm+ for the room(s).
- The door(s) for the room(s) is/are not push pad activated.
- There is step free access to the speaker's area at the front.
- The height of the lectern is 99cm.
- The lectern is not height adjustable.
- There is a hearing assistance system for the room(s).
- The hearing assistance system was not tested at the time of the survey.
- There is a visual fire alarm beacon in the room(s).
- There is not fixed furniture within the room(s).
- The clear floor space beneath tables in the room(s) is 68cm.
- A height adjustable table/bench is not available.
- There is a/are chair(s) with armrests on both sides within the room(s).
- The room does have an unobstructed minimum turning space of 150cm x 150cm.
- Floor coverings in the room(s) are even with no trip hazards.
- The main Council Chamber is beyond the anteroom (the Canada Room), through a similar set of doors (photographs 2 and 3). Seating and table arrangements within the room may vary, depending on usage. Alternative table and seating arrangements, and chairs and tables are seen in photographs 7 to 10.
