• Potential hazards include crossings, narrow paths, congested pathways and busy roads.
• There is public parking located at Rotherham Central Station.

Rotherham Central Station to Central Road Crossing

• Exit Rotherham Central Station via the main entrance and turn right.
• Cross over Central Road.

Central Road Crossing

• At the kerb cross Central Road to Riverside Path.
• The crossing has tactile paving and level kerbs.
• There is no audible or visual style crossing.
• Traffic approaches from both directions
• Once you cross the road turn right.

You are on Central Road Crossing to Turning Space Crossing. Skip to the next section.

Central Road Crossing to Turning Space Crossing

• After the Crossing turn right onto Central Road and follow the path ahead.
• The path narrows to 135cm due to bollards and railings.
• The path has an easy slope.
• The slope is approximately 45m long.
• Half way down the road there is a crossing.

Turning Space Crossing

• The crossing is on Central Road.
• The crossing has tactile paving.
• The crossing does not cross a road, it is a turning space.
• Traffic will approach from the right.

Turning Space Crossing to Riverside Path

• Continue along Central Road.
• After approximately 30m you will come to a wall with some bollards.
• There is a dropped kerb leading around the wall.
• After passing the bollards you will be on Riverside Path.

Riverside Path to The Statutes

• The pavement along Riverside Path is block paving.
• There is a moderate upward slope.
• There are resting places along this part of the route.
• The slope is approximately 20m and then levels out as you pass the courthouse.
• After the courthouse there is a downward slope that is approximately 10m before it levels out again.
• The path then forks.
• Take the right hand fork.
• There is an easy slope approximately 15m long.
• This leads to The Statutes.

The Statutes to Main Street

• The path on The Statues is block paved.
• The pavement is 150cm wide.
• There is an easy slope all the way along.
• The pavement leads past an entrance to a car park on the left and the Police Station on the right.

Car Park Entrance Crossing

• On the road leading from the Statute to Main Street there is an entrance to the Police Car Park.
• Traffic approaches from both directions.
• There is a dropped kerb but no tactile paving.

You are on Crossing Main Street to Riverside Library. Skip to the next section.

Crossing Main Street to Riverside Library

• At the end of The Statutes there is a pedestrian crossing leading across Main Street.
• There are dropped kerbs with tactile markings on both sides of the crossing.
• Traffic approaches from both directions.
• Once over this crossing you are at Riverside Library.

Main Street to New York Way

• Once over the crossing turn right.
• Continue forwards along Main Street.
• You will come to a left turn.
• This turn leads onto New York Way.
• There is a signpost here for AESSEAL New York Stadium.

New York Way to AESSEAL New York Stadium

• After approximately 30m you will come to a pedestrian crossing.
• You do not need to use the crossing however the dropped kerb (with tactile paving) does cause a slight slope in the path.
• Continue past this crossing for another 30m.
• You will come to another pedestrian crossing.

New York Way to New York Way Crossing

• There are dropped kerbs with tactile paving on both sides of the crossing.
• There is usually very light traffic at this crossing however on match days the traffic can be heavy.
• Traffic at this crossing will approach from both directions.
• After this crossing continue straight ahead.

New York Way Crossing to AESSEAL New York Stadium

• You will see the AESSEAL New York Stadium.
• Follow the path around to the left and you will come to another pedestrian crossing.
• There is tactile paving on this crossing.
• Traffic will approach from both directions.
• The AESSEAL New York Stadium is directly ahead.
