About The University of Manchester

The University of Manchester is a truly global institution, with a reputation for education and innovation that resonates across the world.

Disabled students make up over 15% of University of Manchester students, and we’re proud to offer an accessible and inclusive service.

The Disability Advisory and Support Service (sometimes called the DASS) supports a variety of different people, whether students, staff or supporters. We want to help you succeed - in your studies, work, and the rest of your University experience.

DASS is a friendly, confidential team that can offer advice and guidance for current and prospective students and staff to the University. We aim to ensure that all our students and staff have the opportunity to fully participate in their chosen course, work and the university experience. We encourage students and staff both current and prospective to inform us about a disability or medical condition as early as possible, so that relevant support can be arranged for their studies or work.
