- The following information describes the route from the Itchen Bridge (South Side) Bus Stop to St Mary's Stadium.

Itchen Bridge (South Side) Bus Stop

Itchen Bridge (South Side) Bus Stop to the A305 Pedestrian Crossing
- After exiting the bus turn left and follow the path for approximately 70m until you reach the A305 pedestrian crossing.
- There is step-free access along the path.
- The surface of the path is tarmac.
- Turn left and take the crossing to the opposite side of the A305.
- There are two crossing points with dropped kerbs and tactile paving either side.
- The crossing points are controlled by visual indicators.
- The visual indicators are activated by push buttons.
- There are rotating cones located at the base of the push button box to indicate when it is safe to cross.
- At the first crossing point traffic will be coming from your right.
- At the second crossing point traffic will be coming from your left.
- When completing the crossing, turn left and follow the path.
A305 Pedestrian Crossing to the Central Bridge Walkway
- Follow the path for approximately 30m until you reach the Central Bridge Walkway.
- There is step- free access along the path.
- The surface of path is tarmac.
- There is a very slight slope along the path.
- The access to the Central Bridge Walkway is on your right.
Central Bridge Walkway to Albert Road North
- There is a bollard in the centre of the path leading to the Central Bridge Walkway.
- The gap either side of the bollard is over 100cm.
- There is a long slight slope leading down from Central Bridge.
- The surface of the slope consists of concrete tiles.
- There is a short path leading to a long slight slope, leading up to Albert Road North.
- The surface of the slope consists of concrete tiles.
- At the top of the slope there are two bollards.
- The gap between the bollards is 135cm.
- At the top of the slope bear left onto Albert Road North.
Albert Road North to Chapel Road Crossing
- Follow the path along Albert Road North for approximately 140m until you reach the turning onto Anglesea Terrace.
- There is step-free access throughout this part of the route.
- The path surface consists of concrete tiles then tarmac.
- At the turning for Anglesea Terrace turn left.
- Follow the path for approximately 15m until you reach a crossing point to the opposite side of the road.
- The crossing point has dropped kerbs with tactile paving on the near side only.
- The crossing is at a diagonal angle.
- After completing the crossing turn right, back on yourself.
- Follow the path for approximately 15m until you reach the turning back onto Albert Road North, on your left.
- Follow the path for approximately 115m until you reach the Chapel Road crossing.
Chapel Road Crossing to Marine Parade
- There are no pedestrian crossing signals at this crossing point.
- This crossing point has dropped kerbs on both sides of the road.
- The dropped kerbs have no tactile paving.
- Caution is advised when crossing because of traffic.
- Traffic will be coming from your right and then from your left.
- On crossing the road, bear right and then follow the pathway around onto Marine Parade.
Marine Parade (Chapel Road Crossing) to the Outer Concourse
- Once on Marine Parade continue ahead towards the stadium.
- There is step-free access throughout this part of the route.
- The pathway is uneven at some sections of this route.
- After approximately 120 metres you will pass over tactile paving which indicates a road crossing to the right.
- Continue onwards for approximately 110 metres until you reach Melbourne Street crossing point.
- This crossing point has dropped kerbs and tactile paving on both sides of the road.
- Caution is advised when crossing because of traffic.
- Traffic will be coming from your right and then from your left.
- On crossing Melbourne Street, bear right and follow the pathway.
- After approximately 75 metres you will reach a service road into the stadium.
- At this service road follow the pathway around to the left.
- There is a slight slope at this last section of the route.
- Continue up the slope and you have reached the outer concourse to the stadium.
