Getting Here (Drop Off Zones and Taxi Ranks)

Drop Off Zone and Taxi Ranks

  • The Express Drop Off is located at the front of the Terminal Building.
  • It costs £3.50 for 10 minutes to drop off here, then an additional £1 up to 15 minutes, and £25 over 15 minutes.
  • There is a dedicated drop off zone for Blue Badge holders.
  • The Blue Badge bays are 350cm wide by 620cm long and are located on the concourse.
  • Taxi rank parking bays are located on the concourse.
  • Taxis have to be booked at the office in the arrivals hall.
  • There are crossings available to cross the road that the buses use in front of the car park in front of the Terminal Building.
  • There are bollards either side of the crossing.
  • The gap between the bollards is 125cm wide.
  • The crossing points have dropped kerbs and tactile paving both sides.
  • There are help points available by the crossings.

External Concourse

  • There is step free access along the external concourse.
  • The external concourse is covered.
  • There is clear signage along the concourse.
  • It is between 50m (55yd) and 7m (8yd) from the bus and taxi stands to the concourse.
  • There are bus stops for transfer to each of the airport car parks.
  • There are 3 entrances in to the Check-in Hall along the concourse.
  • There is an entrance into the Arrivals along the concourse.
  • There are help points available at all entrances.

Outside Access (Departures Entrance 2)

  • The entrance area/door is clearly signed.
  • There is step-free access at this entrance.
  • There is a canopy or recess which provides weather protection at this entrance.
  • The entrance door(s) does/do contrast visually with its immediate surroundings.
  • The main door(s) open(s) automatically.
  • The door(s) is/are double width.
  • The width of the door opening is 203cm.
  • Comments View
    • There is a telephone (Help Point 2) located next to the entrance, which can be used to call for assistance.
    • The telephone is 45cm (1ft 6in) high.
