The bet365 Stadium Bus Stop (Buses to Stoke) to the Outer Concourse

  • After exiting the bus turn left onto Stanley Matthews Way.
  • The surface of the path is tarmac.
  • Continue along the path for approximately 40m where there is a gate located on your right. This gate is permanently held open on matchdays. There is a slight slope after the gate opening which leads down to the south-east corner of the outer concourse.
  • To get to the west side of the outer concourse continue past the gate and follow the path for approximately 100m.
  • As the path bears right there is a slight slope leading down towards the stadium.
  • There is some tactile paving located across the path, at a crossing point.
  • Continue along the path, bearing right, for approximately 40m until you reach the access road crossing point.
  • The crossing point has dropped kerbs with tactile paving on both sides.
  • After the crossing point the path bears right. Follow the path for approximately 100m until you reach another crossing point for the outer concourse.
  • The crossing point is over an access road for players and officials.
  • This crossing point has dropped kerbs with tactile paving on both sides.
  • There is then step-free access onto the outer concourse.

The bet365 Stadium Bus Stop (Buses to Hanley, Smallthorne and Newcastle-under-Lyme) to the Outer Concourse

  • After exiting the bus turn right onto Stanley Matthews Way.
  • The surface of the path is tarmac.
  • Follow the path for approximately 80m until you reach the crossing point at the Stanley Matthews Way roundabout.
  • The crossing point does not have pedestrian signals.
  • There is a pedestrian refuge island at the centre of the crossing.
  • There are dropped kerbs with tactile paving on both sides of the crossing and on the pedestrian refuge island.
  • After completing the crossing, turn left and follow the path for approximately 40m until you reach the access road crossing point.
  • The crossing point has dropped kerbs with tactile paving on both sides.
  • After the crossing point the path bears right. Follow the path for approximately 100m until you reach another crossing point for the outer concourse.
  • The crossing point is over an access road for players and officials.
  • This crossing point has dropped kerbs with tactile paving on both sides.
  • There is then step-free access onto the outer concourse.

Outer Concourse

  • There is step-free access around the concourse, however there are some very slight slopes in places. The surface of the concourse varies between block paving and concrete.
    There are some steps located outside the Boothen End (North Stand). These steps can be bypassed by using the dropped kerbs and the designated pathway in the North Car Park.
    There are also steps located on the concourse between the ticket office and the Q-railing Stand (West Stand). These can be bypassed via the ramp on the opposite side of the access road, within West Car Park 1. There are pedestrian road crossings with bollards on either side of the ramp.
  • On matchdays there are food and drink stands located around the concourse; at the Boothen End (North Stand), on the corner between the SHARP Stand (South Stand) and Q-railing Stand (West Stand), on the Tile Mountain Stand (East Stand), on the corner between the Tile Mountain (East Stand) and SHARP Stand (South Stand) and on the away section of the SHARP Stand (South Stand).
    There are programme stalls located around the concourse.
  • There is step-free access from the concourse to all of the stands.
  • On matchdays the away section of the SHARP Stand (South Stand) is sectioned off.
    There are gates manned with stewards on either side of the concourse outside of the away section of the SHARP Stand (South Stand).
    Access between the SHARP Stand (South Stand) and the Q-railing Stand (West Stand) is possible via the public footpath along Stanley Matthews Way.
  • Clear directional signage is provided on the concourse.
  • There is a stadium plan/map on the concourse.
  • There is a steward/member of staff available for assistance on match days.
