About this venue

Sunderland Empire Theatre (opens new tab) is one of the largest theatres in the North East, with a maximum capacity of over 2,000 patrons. The theatre opened in 1907 and is currently managed and operated by Ambassador Theatre Group welcoming some of the largest touring productions of West End musicals and plays, alongside concerts, comedy and pantomime.
