Getting Help and Assistance

Getting Here

  • By Road View
    • The Supreme Court and JCPC is situated on Parliament Square, Westminster, directly opposite the Houses of Parliament and close to the statue of Abraham Lincoln.
      The Supreme Court is located within the Congestion Charging Zone.
    • The Supreme Court does not have its own car parking.
      If needed, visitors can be dropped off at the side of the Supreme Court on Little Sanctuary.
      There is not a marked drop-off zone and the road has double yellow markings.
      The nearest street with on-street Blue Badge parking available is Matthew Parker Street, approximately 160 metres from The Supreme Court.
      The nearest public car park is Q Park Westminster, approximately 450 metres from the Supreme Court.
  • By Bus View
    • There is a bus stop within 150 metres of the venue.
    • You can reach the Supreme Court and JCPC via a number of bus routes.
      Routes 3, 11, 12, 24, 87, 88, 159 and 453 go through Parliament Square.
      The closest stop is right outside the Court, labelled 'P' and is served by the 148 and 211.
      Stop 'R' is situated at the end of Victoria Street by Westminster Abbey and is served by the 11, 24, 148 and 211.

  • By Train View
    • The nearest Railway Station is London Victoria and London Charing Cross.
    • London Victoria (just over 1 km):
      Walk down Victoria Street until you see Westminster Abbey. Cross over by a small traffic island and continue past the QEII Exhibition Centre. As you turn the corner to come on to Parliament Square you will be walking alongside the building. The main entrance will be on your left.
      London Charing Cross (just over 1 km):
      Turn left out of the main train station exit onto the Strand. Passing Waterstones on your left, cross 2 roads and then walk down the length of Whitehall until you reach Parliament Square. Turn right onto Great George Street. The Supreme Court and JCPC is on your right-hand side directly opposite the Houses of Parliament, behind the statue of Abraham Lincoln.

  • By Underground View
    • The nearest underground station is Westminster.
    • The closest underground station to the Supreme Court and JCPC is Westminster.
      It is connected by 3 underground lines: District Line - green, Circle Line - yellow, and Jubilee Line - silver.
      There are lifts from each platform and a lift to Westminster Bridge Road. Then turn right and cross Great George Street at the traffic lights.
      Alternatively, once off the train, head for exit 6 at Westminster station - you will walk under the road through an underpass and up steps to Whitehall.
      Once out of the underpass, turn left and walk towards the roundabout. You should be on Great George Street. Cross the road by the traffic lights.
      The Supreme Court is on your right-hand side behind the statue of Abraham Lincoln.

Public Tours

  • Public Guided Tours are available, which cover public areas including the 3 courts and the library.
  • The public tours usually take place on a Friday.
  • The route of the tour varies depending on which courts are in use.
  • There is step-free access throughout the tour.
  • There is a lift from the ground floor to all floors.
  • There is a platform lift available to access Court 3.
  • The surface of the flooring varies between stone tiles and carpet.
  • After completing the tour visitors can go to the exhibition, shop and cafĂ© located on the lower ground floor.

Approach (Parliament Square)
