Getting Inside

  • The approach to the building is step-free with level access.

    The main/accessible entrance is off the courtyard next to Oxford Road.

    There is a step-free level entrance with level access via internal link bridge from the IT Building on the first floor.

Getting Around

  • There are numerous sets of stairs and steps throughout the building.
    It is possible to overcome all steps once inside the building.
    All doors on circulation routes are automatic or push pad activated.
    Some automatic doors are key card activated.
  • There is a long slope with a steep gradient towards the front of the building to access services on the lower first floor.
    The slope is also used to overcome steps to the social space on the lower first floor.
    There is a slope with a slight gradient on the lower first floor towards the rear of the building between the lift and the access corridor.

    There are steps between the lower first floor and the first floor for access to the lower and upper levels of Lecture Theatre 1.1, and further areas on the first floor, including the link bridge to the IT Building.
