Getting Here

  • By Road View
    • The Institute of Education is located in the Bloomsbury area of Central London, just north of Russell Square. If you are driving to the Institute, please be aware that it is located within the Congestion Charge Zone.
    • There is on street parking available on Bedford Way and Woburn Square.
  • By Bus View
    • Bus stops Russell Square Bus Stop E is served by buses 10 and 188. Russell Square Bus Stops H and J, which are located on Woburn Place, are served by buses 10, 59, 68, 91, 168, N91.
  • By Train View
    • Euston, St Pancras International and King's Cross stations are close to the Institute. However, all of the London Terminal stations are within reach of the Institute using public transport.
  • By Underground View
    • The closest Underground Station is Russell Square, on the Piccadilly line. Other stations close by include Goodge Street (Northern line), Warren Street (Northern and Victoria lines), Euston Square (Hammersmith and City, Metropolitan and Circle lines) and Euston (Northern and Victoria lines).

Getting Around

  • Access View
    • There is step free access throughout the majority of the building, via lift.

    • There is a steep ramp, with no handrails, for access to the lower ground common room.
    • The width of the ramp is 132cm. The ramp is located immediately beyond a pink door leading into the common room from the lift, which has a width of 65cm. There is a doorway at the bottom of the ramp with a width of 70cm. This can be seen in photograph 2. There is a further moderate ramp with a width of 100cm and handrails on each side to access the accessible and male and female toilet area. This can be seen in photograph 3.
