Getting Here

  • By Road View
    • The main route into Buxton from Manchester and the North and from Derby and the South is the A6 which links with the M6 and the M1.
      From North or South follow the signs for Buxton Station on Station Road. Cross the roundabout at the A515 heading towards the Buxton Opera House and the University is on the right.
      Access to the parking is by bearing right towards the A5004, signed Whaley Bridge. Immediately beyond the University buildings turn right on Marlborough Road then take the first turning right, Devonshire Road. The car park entrance is 150m on the right.
    • There is a security barrier which raises automatically on approach. The parking on site is open air and clearly marked with the Blue Badge bays to the left.
  • By Bus View
    • There are bus services to Buxton from Manchester and Derby (High Peak Buses Transpeak service), Sheffield (TM Travel Service 65) and Macclesfield (High Peak Buses Service 58).
  • By Train View
    • Trains serve Buxton from Manchester Piccadilly by Northern Trains. Rail links to London are via Virgin Trains from Macclesfield (bus service between Buxton and Macclesfield).
