Getting Here (Murano Street Student Village)

  • By Road View
    • The Murano Street Student Village is located to the north west of Glasgow city centre and backs on to the A81 Maryhill Road.
      From Carlisle and the south, exit M74 on to the M73, joining the M8 at the Old Monkland junction.
      Take J16 A804 then A81 north toward Bearsden.
      After about 0.7 mile turn right on to Firhill Road at the traffic lights.
      After 0.3 mile mile turn left on to Murano Street. After 250m the Student Village is on the left.
      From the west, the Erskine Bridge and the Airport, from the M8, take J18 A804 St George's Road.
      Continue on to join the A81 Maryhill Road. Turn left and follow the directions above via Firhill Road.

    • Buchanan bus station is the main bus terminus in Glasgow for inter city coach services.
      First Groups buses 17 and SimpliCITY services 60 and 60A stop on the A81 Maryhill Road at the Maryhill Fire Station Stop.

    • The nearest train station to the east is Possilpark & Parkhouse approximately 1.2 miles away (24-27 minutes) via Panmure Street. There is step free access throughout the station and ramp access to the platforms. Booking office and ticket machines are not accessible.
      The nearest train station to the south is Charing Cross about 1.5 miles away (31 - 33 minutes) via Maryhill Road. There is level access via lifts to the underground platforms, accessible ticket office and ticket machines. There is ramped access for trains. There is an induction loop at the booking office.
