Getting To The Hospital

  • By Road
    • Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital is located on the A340, Aldermaston Road in Basingstoke. The hospital is signed from the Ring Road.
    • There are five car parks at the hospital which are well signed. There is a main car park located on one side of the site with accessible car parks located at the main entrance, level A entrance, DTC entrance and the Sherborne entrance. There are drop off points located at the main entrance and level A entrance. The accessible bays are well marked with additional signage at windscreen height. Please allow extra time on arrival, as parking is sometimes difficult. Public car parks are barrier controlled and a pay on exit scheme is in operation.
  • By Bus
    • The Foundation Trust is serviced by regular buses from Basingstoke town centre. There are bus stops located within the hospital campus. There are bus shelters with level access with seating for seven people. An electronic screen informs you of the next six buses departing the stops. The bus routes stopping here are numbers 2,4 and the link service.
  • By Train
    • The nearest train station is Basingstoke. The station is 1.7 miles from Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital.

    • Visitors to inpatients whose stay in hospital has been more than two weeks, providing they are visiting at least twice per week.
    • Carers staying overnight with children who are inpatients.
    • Relatives or carers of patients who are receiving end of life care.

Getting To (Charlie's Day Unit)

  • Enter via the Main Hospital Entrance; the main reception is located straight ahead. Bear left after the reception desk and continue down the main corridor until you reach the lifts. Take the lifts up to level G. On exiting the lifts turn left and continue down the corridor. Charlie's Day Unit is located on the left.
  • There is step free access, via lift, to Charlie's Day Unit.
  • Charlie's Day Unit is approximately 12m from the lift.
  • Wayfinding signage is provided.
  • There is flooring in corridors which is shiny and could cause issues with glare or look slippery to some people.
