Getting Here

  • By Road View
    • The airport is located near St Peters, west of St Helier the capital.
      From St Helier head northwest on the A2 Victoria Avenue.
      After 2.5 km the road turns slightly left and becomes the A1 La Route de la Haule.
      After 850m at the roundabout, take the second exit onto A12 La Route de Beaumont, signposted St Peter and St Ouen.
      After 1.7 km, at the roundabout, take the first exit onto B36 L'Avenue de la Reine Elizabeth II, signposted Red Houses.
      Continue 1.2 km to the next roundabout.
      Take the second exit and enter the airport.
    • There is a drop off/pick up zone for all passengers on the service road, the "Pit Stop", just before the Departures Terminal on the left. Parking is free for 10 minutes to allow time to drop off or pick up passengers.
      There is a second Express Drop Off zone directly outside the Departures Terminal main entrance. Stopping is only permitted to allow passengers to be dropped off.
      The Long Stay Car Park is opposite the Departures Terminal Building. Blue Badge parking is available in this car park.
      The Arrivals Car Park is outside the Arrivals Terminal and is a short stay car park. Blue Badge parking is available in this car park.
  • By Bus View
    • There is a bus stop within 150 metres of the venue.
    • LibertyBus operate a frequent direct bus service (route 15) between Liberation Station in St Helier and the airport. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes.
      Buses drop off outside the Departures Terminal entrances and pick up at the bus stop outside the Arrivals Terminal.
      Other services that also stop at/near the airport including route 9 between Greve de Lecq and St Helier and route 22 between L'Etacq and St Helier.

Getting Help and Assistance

  • There is a member of staff available for help and assistance.
  • There is not a member of staff trained in British Sign Language.
  • British Sign Language interpreters cannot be provided on request.
  • There is an assistance dog toilet or toileting area at the venue/nearby.
  • The assistance dog toilet or toileting area is located the grass verge at the end of the Departures Terminal.
  • Water bowls for assistance dogs are not available.
  • There are mobility aids available.
  • The mobility aids available include wheelchairs.
  • To obtain mobility aids please contact the Special Assistance desk in the Departures Lounge.
  • For passengers requiring Special Assistance, please let your airline know of your particular needs at least 48 hours before you travel. They will then make arrangements to ensure your requirements are met.
    If you are planning on travelling with your own electric wheelchair, please advise your airline in advance.
    Please check in at least 90 minutes before the stated time of departure.
  • For Blue Badge bay users wishing to take their Blue Badge with them when travelling abroad, contact the Customer Relations desk to obtain a temporary parking permit to display in the car.
  • For passengers with particular needs in relation to autism, dementia or other particular mental health needs, please contact the Customer Relations team by e-mail at least 48 hours before travel, specifying particular requirements. They will then endeavour to meet your needs.

Getting Around

  • Access View
    • There is step-free access throughout the area.
  • Circulation View
    • There are not doors in corridors/walkways which have to be opened manually.
    • The type of flooring in corridors/walkways is carpet, tiles and laminate.
    • There is some flooring in corridors/walkways which is shiny and could cause issues with glare or look slippery to some people.
    • Handrails with a rounded or oval profile are not provided in corridors/walkways.
    • There is good colour contrast between the walls and floor in all areas.
    • There is a mixture of seating with and without armrests at regular intervals.
    • The lighting levels are varied.
    • There is a play/activity area located in the Departures Lounge, next to WHSmith.
  • Signage View
    • Wayfinding signage is provided.
    • The colour, design and typeface of signs is consistent throughout the building.
    • Dementia friendly signage is not provided.
  • Safe Place(s) View
    • There is a designated place of safety which can be used by people with dementia, autism or learning disabilities.
    • The safe place is located in the First Aid Room next to the Chapel.
  • Audio View
    • This venue does play background music in public areas.
    • Music is played in the bar and Duty Free areas.

  • There is 1 checkout and 3 self-service checkouts, all with detachable card readers.
  • There is no sound enhancement system.
  • Background music is played.
  • Lighting in this area is good.

Maison Jersey

  • The Maison Jersey shop is located in the Departure Lounge, on the left as you enter.
  • There is level access throughout the store.
  • The flooring in this area is wood.
  • The majority of aisles are 100cm+.
  • There is a payment counter at the rear with a detachable card reader.
  • There is no sound enhancement system.
  • The store plays background music.
  • Lighting levels within the store are good.

Jersey Pearl

  • The Jersey Pearl shop is located in the Departures Lounge, on the left as you enter.
  • There is level access throughout the shop.
  • The type of flooring in the shop is carpet.
  • The aisles width are 100cm+.
  • There is a single payment counter in the centre of the store. The counter has a lowered section with a knee recess.
  • There is a detachable card reader.
  • Background music is played in the shop.
  • Lighting levels within the shop are good.

Duty Free Area

  • The Duty Free area is located at the rear of the Departure Lounge, just before the entrance to the Departure Gates.
  • There is a slight incline through the duty free area.
  • The majority of aisles are 100cm+.
  • The type of flooring throughout the shop is tiled.
  • The flooring is shiny in the majority of the store.
  • There are 8 tills throughout the store. Some of tills have a lowered section with a knee recess.

Eating and Drinking (The Bar)

  • Access into the Chapel is via a single door.

  • The door is heavy.
  • The width of the door opening is 86cm.
  • The corridor outside is narrow which may make manoeuvring for a wheelchair user difficult.
  • There are seats with armrests and low tables.
  • The type of flooring within the Chapel is carpet.
  • Lighting levels are good.

Counter (Passenger Disruption Desk)

  • Counter View
    • The counter is located at the rear left of the Departures Lounge, to the left after Duty Free.
    • Clear signage for the counter is not visible from the entrance.
    • There is step-free access to the counter.
    • There is a clear unobstructed route to the counter.
    • There are no windows, TVs, glazed screens or mirrors behind the counter which could adversely affect the ability of someone to lip read.
    • The counter is not placed in front of a background which is patterned.

  • Once passengers have passed through the Departures Lounge, they proceed to their departure gate via the corridor beyond the Departure Gates entrance.
  • The gates are split into 3 distinct areas: Departures Gates 2 to 3 - International Flights, Gates 4 to 11 and Gates 12-14 - easyJet Flights.
