Introduction

  • The Disability and Dyslexia Service is located on the third floor of the Bancroft Building and consists of rooms 3.02, 3.02A, 3.02B, 3.02C, 3.02D, 3.04, 3.06, 3.06A, 3.06B, 3.06C, 3.06D, 3.06E. The Disability and Dyslexia Service reception is located in room 3.06.
  • There is also an Assistive Technology Room located on the second floor in rooms 2.12 and 2.13. There is also an Assistive Technology Room located in the Mile End Library.

Getting Here

  • By Road View
    • The Mile End campus is located just off the Mile End Road / A11. This road links the City of London with the A12. The A12 then links to the North Circular Road (and the A11 off that) and the M25.
    • There are Blue Badge bays located throughout the campus, which can be used by anyone with a valid Blue Badge. Car parking is available on campus for staff permit holders. Temporary permits are available for visitors and contractors by prior arrangement.
  • By Bus View
    • The campus can be accessed via bus 25 (Oxford Circus to Ilford), 205 (Paddington Station to Bow Church DLR Station) and 339 (Shadwell Station to Leytonstone Station).
  • By Train View
    • The nearest railway stations are Liverpool Street Station and Fenchurch Street Station. However, all of the London Terminal stations are within reach of the campus using public transport.
  • By Underground View
    • The campus is located between Mile End (on the Hammersmith and City, District and Central lines) and Stepney Green (on the Hammersmith and City and District lines) underground stations.

    • The entrance to the Disability and Dyslexia Service 3.06 leads into the reception area of the service.

Entrance (2.13 leading to 2.12)

2.12 & 2.13

  • These are the specialist Assistive Technology Rooms.
  • 2.12 is located to the rear of 2.13 and is accessed via a single door that is push to open. It serves as a room for isolated study or for one on one teaching. It also contains the Braille embosser.
  • All desks are height adjustable as are the chairs many of which have armrests.
  • Photographs 1, 2 & 3 show room 2.12 and photograph 4 shows room 2.13.
