Introduction

  • Comments View
    • Fracture Clinic - X-ray Waiting Area and Physiotherapy are located on A Floor of the hospital in West Block.
    • Fracture Clinic patients use this waiting area until they are taken to the Emergency Department X-ray next door.

Getting To The Hospital

  • By Road View
    • The hospital is located on the southwest side of the city. From the M1, leave at junction 25 to take the A52 Brian Clough Way towards the City Centre, at the roundabout go straight across and the entrance to the hospital is on the right.
    • There are open air parking around the site, some car parks are specifically for blue badge holders. There are car park charges for blue badge holders.
  • By Bus View
    • Buses which are run by Nottingham City Transport from site are; Buses on Orange Line Grey 53. Trent Barton: Indigo i4, 21, 20 Red Arrow. YourBus: Y36 There is also the medibus which runs from the Queens park and ride.
    • There is an onsite bus stop.
    • The bus stops are located around the hospital site which start at the Treatment Centre and follows the road around the site, which passes the Main Hospital entrance. There are also bus stops to the main road outside the site - Derby Road.
    • The bus stops are sheltered and the majority have fixed seating/bench. There would be room for a wheelchair into move in the shelter.
    • The route from the bus stops to the hospital buildings are by tarmac paths some of which are uneven. There are road crossings, which have dropped kerbs and most have tactile paving. The routes are long with steep slopes to the hospital buildings. The route from Derby Road to the Main entrance is open air, it takes in road crossings an un even tarmac path which has steep slopes.
  • By Train View
    • The nearest train station is in Nottingham which is a 20 minutes taxi ride. Services which run from this are Cross Country, East Midlands and Northen rail - the links are as follows : crosscountrytrains.co.uk eastmidlandstrains.co.uk northernrail.org.
  • By Tram View
    • There is a Tram stop to QMC, the Trams run every 7 minutes during peak times. There is a bridge connecting the tram stop to the B Floor level of QMC and also has direct access from the stop into The Nottingham Treatment Centre. The bridge is under cover with seating along its length, there is a slight slope to the bridge.

  • There is a Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) at the hospital.
