Bus Stop M to the Outer Concourse (via Britannia Gate)

  • When exiting the bus turn left and follow Fulham Road.
  • The surface of the path on this part of the route consists of flagstone paving.
  • There is step-free access throughout this part of the route.
  • After approximately 35m cross a side road called Waterford Road.
  • There are dropped kerbs with tactile paving at both sides of the road.
  • At the crossing traffic is coming from your right and then your left.
  • Waterford Road has a block paving surface.
  • Continue along Fulham Road for 25m until you reach a road crossing on the left.
  • Use the crossing to get to the opposite side of Fulham Road.
  • This crossing point consists of two road crossings.
  • At the first crossing point traffic is coming from your right.
  • At the second crossing point traffic is coming from your left.
  • There are dropped kerbs with tactile paving at each side of the road.
  • The dropped kerb on the far side has a steep gradient.
  • The central island is indicated by a strip of tactile paving.
  • Each crossing point is controlled by a visual indicator.
  • The visual indicators are activated by push buttons.
  • There are rotating cones located at the base of the push button boxes to indicate when it is safe to cross.
  • After completing the second crossing turn right and follow Fulham Road.
  • After approximately 30m you will pass the Chelsea Village (U) bus stop and reach the Britannia Gate entrance to the ground on the left.
  • Go through the bollards and follow the block paving walkway for approximately 35m until you reach the outer concourse.
  • The gap between the bollards is 140cm and there is a slight downhill slope.
  • There is step-free access onto the outer concourse.

Outer Concourse

  • The outer concourse has either a tarmac or a block paving surface. All stands are accessible via the outer concourse. There are some slight slopes located along the concourse.
  • On matchdays there are independent food stalls and mobile counters selling matchday programmes located around the concourse. On the Shed End Wall there are photographs and information about Chelsea legends.
  • All entrances into the stadium have step-free access but there are some very easy slopes along the outer concourse. There is a slope leading up to the East Stand Lower and Upper Turnstiles.
  • Clear directional signage is provided on the concourse.
  • There is a stadium plan/map on the concourse.
  • There is a steward/member of staff available for assistance on match days.
