Turn Left and Follow Gait 2

  • Just past the accessible entrance level change there is a pavement.
  • The pavement is 170cm wide
  • The pavement has a moderate ramp sloping downwards and a slight slope from left to right.
  • The pavement surface is tarmac.
  • There is a manhole cover at the top of the pavement causing a slightly uneven surface.
  • There is a fire hydrant cover at the bottom of the pavement to the right causing a slightly uneven surface.

Cross Loading Service Road

  • At the end of the pavement is a dropped kerb leading downwards creating a moderate ramp.
  • The dropped kerb does not have tactile markings.
  • After the dropped kerb is a road leading to the loading bay area.
  • The road is quiet.
  • The road is on a slight gradient leading downwards and the road has a slight slope leading from right to left.
  • Crossing the road there is a dropped kerb causing a moderate ramp leading upwards.
  • The dropped kerb does not have tactile markings.
  • Both dropped kerbs have a slight threshold. approximately 1cm deep.

Continue Along Gait 2 and Turn Left

  • Past the second dropped kerb the pavement gradient becomes easy and levels out as you continue along.
  • There are manhole covers on route creating slightly uneven surfaces.
  • At the end of the pavement although the gradient is level, there is a slight slope from left to right.
  • Turning to the left, you arrive at the main entrance to the Postgraduate Centre.
  • There are 2 additional manhole covers just before the entrance to the Postgraduate Centre.

  • There is a ramp or slope to access this service.
  • The ramp or slope is located in front of the entrance.
  • The ramp or slope is permanent.
  • There is not a level landing at the top of the ramp.
  • The ramp does not have handrails.
