Opening Times

  • Opening times do vary depending on timetabling.

Getting Here

  • By Road View
    • The Craiglockhart Campus is located to the south west of the city centre area where parking is still strictly controlled.
      The nearest main roads are the A70 to the west and the A702 to the east which link the city bypass to the city centre.
      .
    • There is a campus car park off Glenlockhart Road to the front of the building for permit holders and visitors with Blue Badge bays to the side of the Craiglockhart Building.
      There is on-street parking in the surrounding streets. Parking charges may vary depending upon which side of the street is used, see signage for details and restrictions.

  • By Bus View
    • Several Lothian Buses services from the city centre stop close to the campus.
      Services 4, 10, 27 and 45 stop on Colinton Road at the "Craiglockhart Campus" bus stop.
      Service 36 stops on Glenlockhart Road at the "Craiglockhart Campus" bus stop.
      There is no direct bus service from Edinburgh Airport to the campus.
      Service 100 from the airport (Stance D) stops at Haymarket Station.
      Transfer to Dalry Place, and take Service 4 to "Craiglockhart Campus".
      Up to the minute "real time" bus timetable information is now available at the majority of bus stops across the city.
      Information panels provided next to the majority of bus stops let you know when the next bus services will be arriving, or if there has been a delay.

  • By Train View
    • Slateford station is just under a mile from the campus.
      Edinburgh Waverley and Haymarket stations are situated in the city centre.
      From Waverley Station Lothian Buses 4 or 10 from Princes Street or 45 from North Bridge link to the Craiglockhart Campus.
      From Haymarket Station Lothian Bus 4 from Dalry Road links to the Craiglockhart Campus.
      Edinburgh has rail links throughout the UK.
      The East Coast mainline links Edinburgh and London King’s Cross in around 4 hours.
      Glasgow is about 45 minutes by train. York, Newcastle, Inverness or Aberdeen can be reached in about 2 hours.
      All trains arrive at Waverley Station in the centre of the city, although some trains also stop at Haymarket, which is a smaller station in the West End.

  • By Tram View
    • The nearest Tram station is Balgreen Tram Station, 1.9 miles from the campus, linking to the Airport and the City Centre.
      Haymarket Station is more convenient with a direct bus link, by Lothian Buses route 4.
