Fifth floor - offices. - The School of Mathematical Sciences moved back into the newly transformed Maths Building in September 2019. The University invested £18m in the building project, which brought about a complete transformation of the 1960s building on Mile End Road.
The building includes a range of working and learning spaces including:
71 academic offices
A School Office to accommodate the whole Professional Services team
72 PhD desks in one office the full length of the south side of the building
Private and group study areas – including dedicated areas for undergraduate and postgraduate students, and academic hubs
A dedicated room for maths research seminars
State of the art mathematics lecture theatre and two teaching rooms
An IT Lab for master level students
An office for post-doctoral researchers
Students and staff benefit from a range of social spaces including the new Social Hub, complete with a striking ceiling design and space to seat 100 and suitable for a variety of flexible uses.

Getting Here

By Road

- The Mile End campus is located just off the Mile End Road / A11. This road links the City of London with the A12. The A12 then links to the North Circular Road (and the A11 off that) and the M25.
- There are Blue Badge bays located throughout the campus, which can be used by anyone with a valid Blue Badge. Car parking is available on campus for staff permit holders. Temporary permits are available for visitors and contractors by prior arrangement.

- The campus can be accessed via bus 25 (Oxford Circus to Ilford), 205 (Paddington Station to Bow Church DLR Station) and 339 (Shadwell Station to Leytonstone Station).

- The nearest railway stations are Liverpool Street Station and Fenchurch Street Station. However, all of the London Terminal stations are within reach of the campus using public transport.
