Introduction

  • The outer concourse area refers to the on-site areas outside the Main Stand, The Kop and the Kenny Dalglish Stand.
  • Anfield Road makes up the remainder of the area immediately surrounding the stadium.
  • Anfield Road is closed to traffic from 4 hours prior to kick-off.
  • The concourse area outside the Main Stand between Anfield Road and Paisley Square is called 96 Avenue.
  • The Hillsborough Memorial and Multi-Faith Room are located on 96 Avenue.
  • There is a raised level called the Podium on 96 Avenue which can be accessed by stairs or lift.
  • The Main Reception is accessed from the Podium.
  • The concourse area in the corner where the Main Stand meets The Kop is called Paisley Square.
  • The LFC Superstore is located on Paisley Square.
  • The Ticket Office, the Stadium Tour and Museum are located in the outer concourse area outside The Kop.

Outer Walkways (Anfield Road)

  • The road and pavements on Anfield Road are level with tarmac surfaces. There are dropped kerbs on either side of the road at the Bill Shankly Memorial Gates. There is tactile paving on the dropped kerb in front of the gates and also either side of the Anfield Road car park entrance. There is a dropped kerb with no tactile paving outside the Fanzone. There are dropped kerbs with tactile paving outside the Staff and Contractor Entrance.
  • A Fanzone is located on Anfield Road as are the Bill Shankly Memorial Gates which gives access to the Kenny Dalglish Car Park/concourse area.
  • There are entrances to Blocks L-S on the Anfield Road Stand along this outer walkway. Accessible Entrances 3a and 4 are also located on Anfield Road which give access to the Main Stand.
  • Anfield Road is part of the traffic exclusion zone and is closed 4 hours prior to kick-off.
    There are bollards at either end of the road which prevent traffic entering. The bollards are 110cm in height. Gaps between bollards for pedestrians are approximately 115cm. The bollards do not have a good colour contrast with the background but do have a red contrasting strip at the top.
  • Clear directional signage is provided.

Outer Concourse (Kenny Dalglish Stand)

  • This outer concourse area is essentially a car park on non matchdays. It has a tarmac surface and is mostly level. There is a slight upwards slope leading to Accessible Entrance 2 and Turnstiles E and F.
  • There are programme/merchandise kiosks and a food and drink van in the concourse area. There is a deep step (18cm+) for access to the merchandise kiosk. The food and drink van has a high counter (110cm+).
  • The Kop, the Kenny Dalglish and the Anfield Road Stands can be accessed from this concourse area via Accessible Entrances 2 (The Kop), 2a (Kenny Dalglish) and 3 (Anfield Road).
  • The Kenny Dalglish concourse area can be accessed from Anfield Road or Walton Breck Road which both form part of the traffic exclusion zone. Anfield Road is closed to traffic 4 hours prior to kick-off and Walton Breck Road 1.5 hours prior to kick-off.
  • Clear directional signage is not provided on the concourse.
  • There is a stadium plan/map on the concourse.
  • There is a steward/member of staff available for assistance on match days.

Outer Concourse (The Kop)

  • This outer concourse area has tarmac, concrete and block paving surfaces. These surfaces can be slightly uneven in places. There is a slight upwards slope onto the concourse from Paisley Square.
  • The main ticket office is located on this concourse area along with access to the Museum, the Bill Shankly Statue and The Boot Room Sports Cafe. There are also merchandise stands and food and drink counters on this concourse area.
  • The Kop Stand can be accessed from here via Accessible Entrance 1 and 2 and Turnstiles B to E.
  • The Kop can be accessed from Walton Breck Road via the Paisley Square Gates. Walton Breck Road is closed to traffic 1.5 hours prior to kick-off.
  • Clear directional signage is provided on the concourse.
  • There is a stadium plan/map on the concourse.
  • There is a steward/member of staff available for assistance on match days.

Outer Concourse (Paisley Square)

  • Paisley Square is located between the Kop and 96 Avenue and has a resin bound surface which is level.
  • Paisley Square is a Fanzone on matchdays with various food and drink stands, a stage for live music and a large screen. The LFC Superstore is also located on Paisley Square. Standard portable toilet cubicles are also available on matchdays.
  • There are accessible entrances to the Main Stand (Entrance 5) and The Kop (Entrance 1) from this outer concourse area. There is also stepped access up to the Podium outer concourse area from where the hospitality level in the Main Stand can be accessed. Lift access up to the Podium concourse is available on 96 Avenue.
  • Paisley Square can be accessed from Walton Breck Road or Gilman Street which form part of the traffic exclusion zone 1.5 hours prior to kick-off. The access points both have bollards which are 100cm in height. The gap between the bollards is approximately 120cm. Not all bollards have a good colour contrast with the background but all have a red contrasting strip at the top.

Step(s) (Paisley Square to Podium)

  • There is a/are step(s) located on Paisley Square.
  • The step(s) is/are used to access the Podium outer concourse.
  • There is/are 45 step(s).
  • The step(s) is/are clearly marked.
  • The step(s) has/have tactile paving at the top and bottom.
  • The height of the step(s) is/are between 15cm and 18cm.
  • The height of the step(s) is/are 17cm.
  • The going of the step(s) is/are between 30cm and 45cm.

Outer Concourse (96 Avenue)

  • 96 Avenue has a block paving and granite stone surface. The concourse slopes slightly downhill from Anfield Road to Paisley Square.
  • The Hillsborough Memorial area is located on 96 Avenue where bench seating is provided. Anfield Forever is a landscaped area which forms part of the walkway along 96 Avenue, located on the opposite side to the Hillsborough Memorial. The area is a celebration of the club and its players, managers and global supporters, formed of specially engraved granite stones. The stones comprise of fan messages and dedications. Alongside fan memories and dedications, player and managerial dedications also share the walkway giving fans an insight into the Club’s history.
  • The Podium concourse can be accessed from 96 Avenue via stairs or lift. The Main Stand can be accessed from the Podium including the Main Reception. There is a Multi-Faith Room on the outer wall of the Podium which can be accessed from 96 Avenue on matchdays.
  • 96 Avenue can be accessed from Anfield Road which forms part of the traffic exclusion zone and is closed to traffic 4 hours prior to kick-off.

  • There are entrances to Blocks T and V of the Main Stand along the Podium outer concourse. The Main Reception area is also accessed from the Podium. The upper levels of hospitality can be accessed via lift from the reception foyer.
